Survivor Philippines: Naak pa rin ang umaariba!
Paolo B. revealed the Immunity Necklace which will be given ONLY to the person who wins the challenges since merge has been up and Chalam was born.
last night's Immunity Challenge was indeed the greatest of all yet. Nanay Zita, the laundry woman, surpassed the hardest obstacle course of the game getting ahead with all the youngsters. she remembers her promise to her children in every challenge that she faces. they inspire her. congrats Nanay! naiyak ako sa accomplishment mo sa challenge na yun. at sana kaw ang manalo, you deserve that spot in SP!

Survivor Philippines: Ang Naimpatsong Pating!
both camps got mail. everyone thought it was another challenge. Marlon began thinking of strategies to outbeat Naak.
but Paolo B. had another thing in mind. he claimed the tribes' buffs and gave them a new one. this is the birth of the new tribe, Chalam (Thai. shark)
instead of a challenge, they went to a feast. sugod ang mga gutom hanggang naimpatso.
welcome Chalam!

eyecare for your pocket
the right food should be observed always. most people's jobs require to sit in front of the PC or sometimes get exposed under the sun, it provides danger for our eyes. and we should really take care of our eyes and we go spending hundreds up to thousands of cash for an eyewear. we even associate fashion for the eyes to go trendy with others. and according to an article from Chicago Post:
Americans spend $28.7 billion annually on vision products and services, according to the Vision Council of America. Eyeglass frames and lenses make up the largest portion, about $16 billion.i say, that's a lot of money! i wonder how our citizens spend for that.
... People can pay more than $1,000 for a pair of glasses, while at least one Internet provider promises a pair for $8. An identical pair of eyeglasses costs from $178 to $390, depending on the optician or optometrist, according to research in seven U.S. cities by Consumers' Checkbook, a consumer information guide.
but for a person who needs comfort and care for his eyes, there is an offering from Zenni Optical which would be a great help for customers. they have this wide variety of frames, lenses and additional services for our eyes. and a pair can cost for as low as $8! that would just be less than a thousand bucks for us. the reason for the low priced product is they don't spend on middlemen and advertising and they send the manufactured glasses directly to the customer.
i went to their site and i had more information on choosing the right eyeglasses. there's a wide variety to choose from and they have a pair similar with that of US VP candidate, Sarah Palin, which is "in" in this period of time. i think of considering of ordering a pair, how about you? come on, i think it's cheap, why do you waste money on expensive glasses?

Survivor Philippines: Baby voted out
now it's Naak's turn to listen at Jarakay's Tribal Council, similar as what happened when they lost Vhev. Vern and Jace gave a strong opinion that Nanay Zita is a threat to them in the entire game.
and Nikki leaves with a smile and says that it's been a great experience.
being voted out of Koh Tarutao (Devil's Island), Leona Rica "Nikki" Dacullo, joins everyone of their fans to the upcoming live chat on wednesday, oct 29 at 2pm.

stars stand up
The modern music artists "stand up" against cancer during the telethon of Fashion Rocks 2008. this aims to raise funds to help cancer patients i heard this single not too long ago and i did not make a mistake when i thought that this is for an advocacy campaign. the single is the first collaboration of Babyface and LA Reid.
star-studded as it is, the song features more than a dozen artists namely, Beyonce and Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis, Sheryl Crow, Rihanna, Melissa Etheridge, Miley Cyrus, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara and LeeAnn Rimes. Nicole Scherzinger is also featured in the live version when they sang it during the telethon.

i'm a Nuffnanger but i don't know how to use it
this post's main objective is to share that i have visitors from abroad. as i've checked on my Nuffnang, here's the breakdown. (i think the Phil breakdown mostly came from me. LOL)
but wan't it amazing? i know i'm not that big time blogger but this makes me feel grateful. i wonder who might those be. in case you are reading this, i'd be very happy to hear something from you.
Survivor Philippines: Libreng Ligo and new "ka-bonding" for Jace
Both tribes received a new mail from the admin for another reward challenge. the objective of the game is to fill 5 buckets with mud using their bodies to catch and bring it to their taga-ipon. they cannot touch themselves to help the taga-ipon. the prize at stake, a nice bath! they have been stinking for 15 days now. to cut this short, Naak wins the reward. they have a lot of spongy hair, thanks to Kiko's dreadlocks. a little plugging from Unilever products there.
Jarakay heads back to camp and clean themselves with the water from the sea. even disinfecting their wounds from the other night's insect bites. since Jace is left with Marlon, Vern, Nikki and Charisse, he has nothing to do but to bond with them. a little sparring and taekwondo sessions for Marlon from Jace and Vern. at some point, they forgot about beating the enemy and enjoy that they stayed in the game and spent some moments together.
can you handle my HOTNESS?
i just happen to each lunch awhile ago and my food is a little boring. i opened up my drawer and i found out that i got 3 sachets of hot sauce. 2 from PizzaHut and 1 from Chowking. i tore the Chowking hot sauce and added it to my current viand, fried chicken. i cannot handle spicy foods especially when it's Korean. i'll be sweating heavily when i eat that kimchi or that wide selection of fillings to put in a leaf of lettuce before crunching like shawarma. (nakakagutom na ba?) i don't even think of almoranas (now that ruins the appetite) because i just know how to cool myself down with more servings of water.
i'm a fan of sushi. calimak anyone? i miss dropping by at Gateway mall and heading towards the Jumbo Jap cuisine to try everything on the menu once in a while. as much as possible, i drown that pinch of wasabe on Japanese soy sauce before dipping the sushi slice to put into my mouth. i even mastered the technique in using chopsticks. and even enhanced it when i was in HK last year.
i'm of Bicolano roots. so you have an idea that Bicol express is not a new thing to me. it's just been a while back when papa cooked it more spicier than ever! and one time during our family reunion, one relative cooked a different pansit canton and i tell you, no one was able to eat that. even the stray don't didn't handle it.
so now i want to ask you, which spicy seasoning do you want?

Ohmski's Blogline: Pantene satisfaction in 3 Minutes!
everything went well and all is done, 3 minutes by 3 minutes. the program started with a 3-minute countdown, i ate all everthing in my plate in 3-minutes (joke! and another set of food from the TasteAsia buffet which i enjoy everytime, thank you very much), and i would even give a testimony that Pantene really worked in 3 minutes! i have alex, rio and even my sister with her officemates who won the "Pantene version" of Pinoy Henyo. i'm so proud of her. the game was already a give-away. guess what's behind your back in the shortest time for 3-minutes. it's cool that the only thing left to guess was the product itself. it's even better when you say it right.
one of the highlights of the night was when Judy Ann Santos arrived. i am a confessed Juday fan and i'm so happy that she went to the event. but i felt bad that we have no photo souvenir together. lucky for azrael and joriben, two online friends to be able to take pictures with her.
Juday narrates her experience with the whole advertising campaign and she too is amazed that Pantene 3-minute Miracle Treatment worked for her. so she vouches for this product for everyone to try.
the night closed with live bands especially with Pinoy Dream Academy contender, RJ Jimenez that serenaded all guests with hits for the heart and songs for the soul.
in short, na-starstruck talaga ako. hahaha

Survivor Philippines: Jarakay?! Ganon?!
Naak still fun pa rin! Cris (cramps, Chitae) had a visit from his siblings! hahaha... local monkeys from Koh Tarutao that is. Kiko, Kaye and Zita had a play on voices. Rob, together with Kiko and JC, continues to stick to their alliance.

Survivor Philippines: Lechon works!
nagkakaladkaran pa habang hinahabol ng Naak ang Jarakay. natanggal din ang swimsuit ni Kaye and Cris is to the rescue to cover her up. (hmmm... cramps, ha.) as they continue, lalong nahirapan si Kaye dahil bumababa s Zita para lumangoy at magpadala na lang sa hila ng tribe. Kaye has been yelling on Zita to walk upright and cooperate with her kasi hindi na nya kaya. Rob, on Naak's head, tags Nikki, Charisse, Marlon, Vern and finally John and no one on Naak has been caged.
Jace carrying all 60 pounds of bags struggle to catch up with the challenge. kahit papano nakakaawa sya nung sya na lang mag-isa. John also says na parang tanga sina Nikki and Charisse na nagchi-cheer para sa Jarakay.
Jarakay returns to camp tired and quiet.
i missed talking about Sirenea
some negative points:
(Ricky D.)
- Hero Angeles' role (Mark) didn't give much contribution on the story. as like to Paolo (Aljur A.) and Shiela Mae (Kris B.).
- nung umpisa pasaway pa si Dyesebel, not good for younger audiences to imitate.
- ang galing ni Buboy!
- another creative production from GMA. na-enhance pa nya yung story with additional fantasy characters and settings.
- great apperance by Elizabeth Ramsey as Mother of Pearl.
- good choice of location for the first parts of the series. ganda ng Palawan.
- daming pakulo ha.
- the antagonists have played well. you can have the feeling of irritation kapag nakikita mo sila.
- bare skin and scales exposures. heheh
- nice theme song too.

Survivor Philippines: Reward na nga, may KJ pa
meanwhile at Jarakay, bonding time. they've had good times kahit natalo sila sa RC. at lahat sinisisi si Marlon sa pagkatalo and they really envy Naak for that. napansin ko lang na pumapayat na sila ha. 14 days pa lang ang nakakalipas
balik sa Naak, Kiko and Rob has reconciled kasi kelangan pa rin naman ng team work para sa Immunity Challenge. Mama Zita goes back to taking care of her "kids" and does her choores again by washing their clothes. para matuyo yung mga damit nila, she places them near the bonfire they created. buti nalang hindi nasunog yung mga damit nila. lalo na yung kay Kaye na sinuot pa nga ni Rob sa ulo.
"Kaye o, ginawang helmet ni Rob ang panty mo" - ZitaSP has given us a clip of what's going to happen tonight. each tribe will be chained again together and the people at the end of the chain always stumbles down. (matatanggal daw ang swimsuit ni Kaye sa challenge, lumutong kasi sa pagpapausok ni Rob. e lagi naman naghe-hello ang valley ni Kaye tuwing interview)

take me to my roots
i sometimes wondered if i have foreign roots, from which branch of the family tree did i get my physical features, how my ancestors look like, what they do when they were still alive. i also want to ask them, how do they spend their leisure time and what do they eat. time has left this information and most of us don't even try to take a look back on our ancestry.
so i signed up with this website i found for genealogy and try to trace back my ancestors. will i get my connection with celebrities? historical figures, maybe Jose Rizal or some Chinese business tycoon?
do Koreans really love it here?
the real subject on this blog is not the students but the prizes. when they flashed the profiles of the children, one kid goes "Mom, dad, grandma, I promise I'll take you to the Philippines!" what?! would you think it would be better for them to stay there? and isn't it that there are more places rather than here? that was my initial reaction when I saw that profile. maybe it's a big deal for an elementary kid to get here but at first I thought he's nuts. i'm not degrading our country and of course i love it here. but they have a lot of other choices. HK is there, Tokyo, Beijing, and Singapore may be considered. and what's with us anyway that urged them to come over?
and here are the prizes:
GRAND PRIZE - family package to the Philippines (didn't mention where)
laptop, digital camera, mp3 player, Nintendo DS
for me, I would rather have those other techie stuff. besides, the Philippines is always here. I can go anywhere, anytime I want.
Survivor Philippines: Happy Birthday Cramps!
CONGRATS NAAK!

Survivor Philippines: The Farmer reaps nothing
the Tribal Council was I think the most revealing yet. Naak had this talk with Paolo B while Jarakay was there observing. when the host asks which from Jarakay will they want try to test their strength with, most of them would test on Jace for he, probably, was the strongest of all.
oh well.. ganun talaga. you can't please everyone. and i saw your interview at Startalk last Saturday, kakaiba kayo ni Patani. hehehehe.. palitan daw ba sina Joey deLeon and Pauleen Luna for EB? heheh... goodluck sa inyong mga career.

Survivor Philippines: Niña is forced to leave
though as much as she wanted to stay, she won't be able to because of the cast on her leg that will disable her to perform well in the next challenges. her goodbye has been very emotional especially for Mama Zita, a very close friend from Naak.
last night's reward challenge has been very hard for all castaways. it was like a soccer game but this time, a very huge wooden ball has to be delivered to the goal. of course, everyone has to stop the opponent to getting it done. Naak first scored, then Jarakay came neck and neck. the third set tested the physique and mental abilities of all castaways but Jarakay closed it by winning the game and immunity is back at Jarakay.
* Marlon distracts Rob by talking too much and that made Rob very angry. Kiko consoled him and told him to ignore Marlon.
tonight, Naak heads back to Tribal Council but as Paolo B. said, Survivor has been very fond of unexpected twists. although, Kiko will not cast a vote nor be voted out of the game. Naak is for a big surprise when Paolo gets a set of guests to join them.

Survivor Philippines: Kiko at Jarakay camp
everything was so quiet at Jarakay, nobody seemed to initiate to do something. at one meal, Kiko finds a nail on his rice. is this a scheme or an accident? no one spoke but everyone seems bothered.
at Naak, JC needs some medical attention because his foot swells from an insect bite. so he had to go to the hospital but time is of the essence. he has to return back at camp within 24 hours para hindi sya matanggal out of the game. same with Niña, experiencing a fracture at a toe which she accidentally got from the reward challenge. Niña jokingly approaches Marlon and said that she will continue at the game kahit na gusto ni Marlon na sya ang isunod sa next Tribal Council.
Niña's xray shows that a bone at one of her toes is split. mukha nga syang masakit, actually. the doctor advises that she'll get a cast but the sacrifice of leaving the game. of course, Niña doesn't want to get out of the game.

Survivor Philippines: spoiler alert

as i've read from this blog, twisted na naman ang reward challenge. Kiko is being kidnapped by Jarakay. Survivor really knows pano tayo mawindang lahat. hahaha...MANILA, Philippines—A show biz-oriented website announced that San Sebastian cager JC Tiuseco, 23, won the reality program “Survivor Philippines,” which started airing on GMA 7 only three weeks ago. Program host Paolo Bediones branded the website as a “spoiler.”
“Spoilers come from people who make it their business to ruin the show for others,” Bediones told Inquirer Entertainment by phone on Monday. “Ninety-five percent of those are untrue. But thanks to them, people are now more curious about the show.”
According to the website Showbiz Juice, two program staff members were overheard talking in a coffee shop about the outcome of the show. “The shocking news was that JC’s name was mentioned as the Pinoy Sole Survivor,” the website reported.
Bediones insisted that only the program manager knows the identity of the winner. The aspirants cast their final votes before they left Ko Tarutao (Devil’s Island), Thailand in September. “Everything will be revealed, live, on the last day of the show,” the host said.
His fearless forecast? “Zita, Niña, Marlon, JC and Vevherly will be the Final Five.”
He noted that Zita Ortiga, 46, a laundrywoman, has “a great story and a fantastic disposition.” Niña Ortiz, 40, mother of three, “is a straight-up player.”
Bediones added that many viewers “dislike” Marlon Carmen, 30, a waiter. “But he won the trust of his whole ‘tribe.’”
He said John Carlo or JC had wanted to quit on his first day on Devil’s Island. “But he’s been doing well.”
As for Vevherly Gador, 20, Bediones said, “She’s gone through a lot. People root for someone like her.

Survivor Philippines: Whatever Yaya, you're such a... Winner!
Jervy "Patani" Daño gets the most of votes kasi meron na rin namang alliance between the Jarakay muscles (John, Jace, Vern and Marlon).
anyway, quoting her again, nagkaroon na rin nga naman sya ng "exfosure" and she is so privileged to experience many "firsts." a passport, going to Thailand, and most of all, joining Survivor. who can get that much luck right?
naabutan ko lang ung nagsasalita na lang si Patani. if you want to recap of last night's ep, read this blog. and we will be watching over your endeavors at sana you'll get a career after this. hehe...
