THE DANISH GIRL movie review

United International Pictures bring the Oscar-nominated THE DANISH GIRL starting February 3 and it will be exclusively shown in Ayala Malls Cinemas. Nominations include Best Picture, Best Actor for Eddie Redmayne and Best Actress for Alicia Vikander Here's my review for this great movie.
First thing that you'll fall in love with this movie is its cinematography. Great scene with striking colors as if everything looks like a painting. Even for the characters on how each picture is well-composed for the delight of the eye. You will not get bored of each scene and appreciate every picture. It seems that they banked on the professions of the characters as artists so they created each scene with great composition.

Eddie Redmayne established the character very well from the start. The expressions and body language really defined Lili and helping the audience understand the feelings of a person unsure of his sexuality and identity. This makes Eddie Redmayne a very good contender in the Best Actor race
Alicia Vikander's character is one equally great woman. With the consequences of what supposed to be "fun" and "complicated" to her loved one, she managed to be strong and accepted the fate of her husband. It is just right that there's also acceptance with the society they lived in.
The movie started with a little fun but the drama is not too dragging. I think it is an eye candy as you go through scene to scene. Dialogues are simple but the love exchange between Eddie and Alicia's characters are heartfelt and poetic.

Teleperformance ushers in the Year of the Fire Monkey

Chinese New Year will be celebrated this coming February 8 and the country's leading contact center company, Teleperformance, ushers in the Year of the Fire Monkey with hope and prosperity as it will continue to strive in giving the best client servicing and employee satisfaction. I was there to witness the event and had a tour of their facility at SM Mall of Asia Annex.
Starting with the traditional lion and tiger dance to spread good luck and to cheer the people up. I never encountered such performance so close and also learned new culture aside from just watching it roam in different establishments everywhere.

Teleperformance celebrates its 20th year in 2016 here in the Philippines. As a leader in the ICT-BPO sector, it also keeps its commitment in providing the best employment experience by constantly reviewing and upgrading its facilities in different sites in the country. They have 274 branches in 62 countries and 16 of them are located in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu and Davao.

We were then toured around their office facility where a certain feature was very noticeable. Teleperformance gives the five essential elements, cosmos, earth, metal, air and fire -- a representation to their core values: Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, Innovation and Commitment. This serves as a reminder for the top management to the ranks of how Teleperformance treats the business very well as well as the welfare of its employees.
I was amazed by the amenities available for training, workstations and even for their leisure activities. Their training area provides the instructor/trainer and trainees adequate interaction so that employees will be able to handle calls very well. It has come to their analysis that customers must be well understood to prevent irate and adverse events.

We also toured around their canteen, which is adjacent to the gym, and the recreational area. I smelled the fresh leather in the gym equipment and the recreational area has gaming consoles, table tennis and billiard tables. Aside from accepting people's calls, TP employees also get to enjoy their free time socializing with each other. Aside from that, they also hold promote socio-civic engagements where they interact with other employees from other branches.

Rebel Wilson teaches Dakota Johnson on How to Be Single

Finally there's a movie to celebrate singlehood this Valentines Day! From Warner Bros. Pictures, Dakota Johnson and Rebel Wilson, together with Leslie Mann and Alison Brie, star in How To Be Single. A movie teaching us how to enjoy single life at the center of everything.
In the film, there’s a right way to be single, a wrong way to be single, and then…there’s Alice. And Robin. Lucy. Meg. Tom. David. New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, be it a love connection, a hook-up, or something in the middle. And somewhere between the teasing texts and one-night stands, what these unmarrieds all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love. Sleeping around in the city that never sleeps was never so much fun.

Dakota Johnson stars as Alice, who sets the adventure in motion when she takes a break from her college boyfriend to get her first real taste of the single life and is hurled into a hilarious crash course in the “right way” to do it from Rebel Wilson’s alpha-single Robin, who lives the film’s tagline: If you’re not having fun being single, you’re not doing it right. We also meet Alice’s big sister Meg, played by Mann, an obstetrician who is too busy to find Mr. Right; and Alison Brie’s Lucy, a college professor who has it down to a science.

THE REVENANT movie review

You can describe The Revenant more than intense, just as how Leonardo DiCaprio endured all physical challenges in the movie -- from extreme weather conditions, including a bear attack and more wounds that were almost impossible to heal. The worst feeling of it all was a betrayal from your own confidant and leaving you with almost nothing behind. That's why it's up to you how to survive, just how Hugh (DiCaprio) showcased his survival skills in this flick.
Grab a hold of anything you can bite on with the strong and violent scenes from start to finish. Make sure that you are strong to take on all blood squirts and blade cuts to and from our characters. The sight of bleeding wounds and piercing cuts were so real, it's really up to you to cover your eyes or not. The location totally gives the opposite of the scenes in every story. The very serene and cold location somehow blankets the violent and bloody action happening among its dwellers. Quite a beautiful view with a dark story to tell.
The Revenant is also can be considered the most physically challenging role for Leonardo DiCaprio. Unlike his other acclaimed movies, Wolf of Wall Street, The Great Gatsby and more, his The Revenant role is more hard-hitting and quite adventurous and very much apart from his glamorous image. His nomination for Best Actor can give way to his most-awaited win at the Oscars. But I'm not quite sure yet. Let's think positive and I'd still be happy otherwise.
The Revenant mainly focused on Leo's struggles to survive and to take revenge to his confidant Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). With side stories that are based on true events, director Alejandrino Iñarritu successfully was able to get the people immersed in the story and feel with the characters.

Showing starting February 3 in theaters from 20th Century Fox, The Revenant is also available in IMAX format.
