Jaden Smith stars in THE KARATE KID

Jaden Smith, whose turning 12 this year and son of Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, stars in a new adaptation of the 80's martial arts flick, THE KARATE KID. joined by Asian martial arts superstar, Jackie Chan, he discovers and unravels secrets to discipline, self defense and honor.

Jaden Smith was once seen in heart-thumping Pursuit of Happyness with his father. now, he takes on the spotlight in Karate Kid. in this story, he plays Dre Parker -- a popular kid in his hometown in the US but was taken to China by his mom to do her career. with the new environment and cultural differences, Dre has managed to earn friends and worse, enemies. Chinese classmate bullied him which got the attention of the school maintenance, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan). secretly, Mr. Han is a Kung Fu master and then taught Dre the art.

the movie was predominantly shot in China so expect to see majestic Chinese environment like The Forbidden City, the Great Wall, Wudang Mountain, Qi Xi Festival and Beijing.

PRINCE OF PERSIA: The Sands of Time movie review

fulfilling prophecy has not been easy for Dastan. an orphan found by the King of Persia and raised him like the royalties with the talent. during that time, Persia has been greedy of power converting every nation as its own.

Prince Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes in peace among two nations representing Persia after making a deal. afterwards, he finds himself to be in exile accused of the murder of his foster father, the king. to clear his name, the only thing that can save him is by an enchanted dagger sent by the gods but is in the hands of the guardian in Alamut. he gets involved with the mission of the guardian to return it to the gods but that was not an easy task to do with all those who chases them.

Jake did very well with his character as Prince Dastan. the look and the costume fits well with him with his rusty and bad boy look. he did his stunts outstandingly, did a lot of parkour training. CGI is also great, of course what can you expect from a Walt Disney movie especially with collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer? storyline is good and you will never get bored with the scenes.

American Idol 9 has just concluded. after 5 months of singing and surprises, America has voted: LEE DEWYZE!

SEX AND THE CITY 2 movie review

SEX AND THE CITY 2 continues the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte after two years. also after the "I do's" of Carrie and Big. Miranda and Charlotte goes on dilemma with women careers and Samantha, the same escapades.

sparkle goes to the Middle East! the ladies daze off from New York to Abu Dhabi -- thanks to Samantha Jones' PR deal. the ladies get to enjoy a 7-star hotel treatment and experience the heat at Abu Dhabi. party, luxury and men were on the list of course.

the world stops for the four of them being on the other side of the world. but strange and bad things happen. Carrie had an agreement with Big that led to danger in seeing Aidan; Charlotte and Miranda apparently both suffer motherhood but Samantha gets jailed after hitting the dunes for an Arabia architect.

indeed nothing really matters for all of them. they're soul mates as Samantha would say. each would help any one that gets into trouble and they're always together no matter what.

like the first movie, you'll be in awe of what a girl has been dreaming of. the luxury of getting all that you want in an instant. i just don't get what the Arab ladies' significance in the last part. but still, it's not a boring movie. you'll laugh, might cry and fall in love as what SEX IN THE CITY can offer.

the final chapter in the hilarious fairytale adventure of an ogre in SHREK FOREVER AFTER will leave all fans to laughter.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER gives the story of Shrek who endured the routinary days of fatherhood and being the king of Far Far Away. more over, he had a quarrel with his wife Fiona and lost his temper during the 1st birthday celebration of his kids. with all the tension he had, he wished to have the time of his life, resulting to dealing with Rumpelstiltskin. unknowingly, this dwarf has been envy and following Shrek's life and now found an opportunity to take over the poor ogre's life.

thru a magical contract, Rumpelstiltskin has successfully took Shrek's life and ruled over Far Far Away. Shrek had realized he had been tricked by the dwarf and now Far Far Away is in total disaster. no one knows he existed, even his close friends, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Gingy and wife Fiona. to get things back to order, they figured out that True Love's Kiss should end the magic of everything and all will return as it had been.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER is a hilarious movie but i think the first three installments are funnier. you won't miss characters like Gingy, Puss and Donkey adding to the cuteness of Shrek's and Donkey's kids. i will surely miss this series. and you should have to check it on 3D.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER is released on May 21 by Dreamworks.

i have not seen the latest episodes of Glee since it's run last month. it was surprising that the leading food chain in the country, Jollibee, gets a cameo appearance on the said show.
