VENOM: Let There Be Carnage opens in theaters December 8

The relationship of Eddie Brock and the symbiote Venom nears to an end in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage that will be released in Philippine theaters on December 8.

Tom Hardy, playing both characters agrees that it's an unlikely relationship and Venom and Eddie learned to live with each other. Venom is up to munch heads off evildoers and Eddie's career is firmly on the upswing, getting the career-defining last interview with serial killer Cletus Kasady.

Director Andy Serkis describes the two in a marriage that have ups and downs, with one causing the problems but definitely they have a need for each other even without the harmonious relationship. He thinks Tom Hardy gives an extraordinary performance and working with Serkis reveals professional pride and admiration together.

Tom Hardy also contributed his writing creativity in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. His first writing gig for the feature film was "a fun and exciting experience and where anything felt possible for these characters that we have grown so fond of,” says Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplay.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage also casts Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage.

Sing along with The Greatest Showman in SM Cinemas

I am a fan of The Greatest Showman for many three main reasons: THEATRICAL, MUSICAL, and HUGH JACKMAN. But when I saw it, I instantly also became a fan of the songs and especially Keala Settle belting out This is Me. I happen to be streaming the soundtrack featuring songs by Academy Award winning lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul since and I couldn't miss a day without studying and memorizing the lyrics.
But fortunately, we can now all sing with Hugh Jackman, Zack Efron, Zendaya, Keala Settle while watching The Greatest Showman as SM Cinemas bring the sing-along version of the movie starting February 7 in select theaters. Follow the bouncing top hat for every hit song with intricate visuals and dance choreography following the rags to riches life of PT Barnum, the greatest showman and founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus, and the beginning of show business.

The Greatest Showman also features Michelle Williams and her emotional Tightrope song and Rebecca Ferguson's Never Enough, sung by Loren Allred. Be inspired and Rewrite the Stars with Zac Efron and Zendaya.
Listen to the official soundtrack and see you at the movies!

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN movie review

I expected a theatrical extravaganza in The Greatest Showman and it did not disappoint. Visually appealing and with a strong message of equality it conveys, The Greatest Showman is a must-watch for all -- for a good time, for a dose of musical theater, or something to ponder on.
The inspiration of the movie is a not unfamiliar with all of us. How a visionary made his dreams happen to be able to give a good life to people he loves and P.T. Barnum is an inspiration with his dedication in fulfilling his dreams and how he is as a father and husband, an artist and a businessman. No doubt Hugh Jackman fits perfectly for the role just as he puts on his red coat and top hat.
Songs are very heartfelt as if the cast gives every song message directly to you. The Greatest Show to start with prepared you for a fantastic show indeed. A whole line up of songs goes with the story line very well from start to finish. Never Enough is emotionally-triggering and a very strong This is Me gives high encouragement that you will bring until you go home. This Is Me deserves its Globe award and Oscar nod.

I also applaud the spectacular choreography of our unique characters displayed. Rewrite the Stars is a great sequence if we can see it live but you will enjoy most of the movie.
Zendaya and Zac Efron (Rewrite the Stars)
The Greatest Showman is showing January 31 in cinemas and Imax. Distributed by 20th Century Fox (Philippines).

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL movie review

finally seeing it before it ends the theaters is the movie that i very much anticipated. OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFU from Walt Disney Pictures made me to like it even more than the trailers. though others may have seen it and didn't like it, i don't know how would i explain it to them but the movie was really good.
if you're basing the story from two books, Wicked from Gregory Maguire and Wizard of Oz from L. Frank Baum, of course you'll in for a great disappointment. but connections have been very very close from L. Frank Baum's book.

politics is a very prominent issue in the story. sisters Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Theodora (Mila Kunis) are in conspiracy to rule Oz. notice the dynasty going on and they are agreeing over one brain that is greater evil. greed and power is what would Evanora has been eyeing for quite a long time. while Theodora, the more vulnerable one, takes her revenge from a heartbreak with Oscar Diggs. earlier manifesting her weakness of decaying in water, the Wicked Witch of the West likewise afraid of new things that happen in Oz.

the young wizard, Oscar Diggs (James Franco) gives a new perspective of how we knew the Wizard of Oz. the jolly carnival magician was indeed a womanizer, attracting beauty around him. a clever man, his resourcefulness caught him to make the people of Oz to believe that he is the actual wizard they expecting. the lesson, never fail anyone and forget to doubt yourself. you create your own destiny and aim for greatness.
with all the high production value with the beautiful set and costumes invested in this movie, i think there might be some flaws, however, in the actors' execution of stunts. flying Glinda and Evanora seem like they don't have balance in their weights and looked like they're wiggling on air. i just didn't imagine that Glinda had fogs as power. on the positive note, items are consistent in connecting with the later scenes and gives a clear rationale in the development of the story. right now, i am more excited on how they immerse Dorothy and her three comrades in connection with Oz.

OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

just as i've seen a theater musical Wizard of Oz, it was my delight to know that Disney is doing a spin-off of the wonderful children's story in a darker mood.
Disney's OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL will be the enchanting tale that will open and kick off summer of 2013. showing in 3D, the magical world of Oz comes to life. and this will not involve Dorothy and her three companions at the yellow brick road, but this will tell us how the wizard came to Oz and became its ruler.

Michelle Williams as Glinda
the young James Franco plays Oscar Diggs, the magician from Kansas who was transported into another world finding three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). with the coming problems to the land of Oz, Oscar has to find out which is good and evil before it's too late. and with his ingenuity and a little wizardry, he transforms into the powerful wizard and a better man as well.
OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL is directed by Sam Raimi under Walt Disney Pictures and opens March 8 2013 in the USA.
