ALCHEMY OF SOULS returns today on Netflix!

Alchemy of Souls has delighted us with an intricately woven plot with a deeply rich storyline and engaging characters. With the epic story set to wrap up, the fate of the fantastical world of Daeho and all its characters remains the biggest question. What will happen to this majestic realm we’ve thoroughly fallen in love with? Only time will tell when the story continues today, December 10!

If you haven’t watched the show yet or you need a refresher on what has happened thus far, now is the perfect time to stream! Here are 5 reasons to watch Alchemy of Souls:

Jang Uk’s Evolution
Despite being born into a prominent mage family, Jang Uk (Lee Jae-wook) was initially unable to learn magical skills due to his birth secret. However, everything changes when he meets his new master. Jang Uk then fights against the destiny he was born into and gains new powers. Returning 3 years after coming back to life, Jang Uk is a completely changed person. We’re definitely intrigued to see a new side of Jang Uk soon.

The Return of Naksu
Naksu (Go Youn-jung) was a powerful sorceress and assassin before ending up in the body of a blind woman named Mu-deok. From having murderous intentions to experiencing love, Naksu changes drastically. However, she becomes unable to control her situation and everything shifts. Now a mysterious woman with Naksu’s appearance has emerged. There’s much to be unraveled with this new development.

The Friendships
Alchemy of Souls is such a satisfying blend of everything from magic, action, comedy, and friendship. All of the different friendships truly shine! The bromance relationships between Jang Uk, Seo Yul (Hwang Min-hyun), Park Dang-gu (Yoo In-soo), and crown prince Go Won (Shin Seung-ho) is so endearing. And we can’t forget Mu-deok’s friendships with the boys as well. Will their friendships stay the same or change?

The Romance
Of course, you can’t leave out the romance. In addition to Jang Uk and Naksu’s compelling love, we have many relationships to root for. Have Park Dang-gu and Jin Cho-yeon (Arin)’s lovely plans changed? How about Park Jin (Yu Jun-sang) and Maid Kim (Oh Na-ra)? Will some of the single men find new love interests? We’re intensely invested in seeing some happy couples.

The Fate of Everything
Alchemy of Souls has delighted us with an intricately woven plot with a deeply rich storyline and engaging characters. With the epic story set to wrap up, the fate of the fantastical world of Daeho and all its characters remains the biggest question. What will happen to this majestic realm we’ve thoroughly fallen in love with? Only time will tell when the story continues on December 10!

DP (Deserter Pursuit) renewed for season 2

D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) has been renewed for the second season as the world's biggest streaming platform, Netflix, confirms. The New York Times' Best International Show of 2021 has raised awareness on hidden social issues also has taken the world by storm.

Han Ho-yeul (Koo Kyo-hwan) and An Joon-ho (Jung Hae-in)

D.P. centers on Deserter Pursuit Unit members An Joon-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Han Ho-yeul (Koo Kyo-hwan) as they come across different stories while tracking down fellow soldiers who have deserted their posts.

Based on the webtoon D.P. Dog's Day by Kim Bo-Tong, D.P. takes on new life with Director Han Jun-hee of Coin Locker Girl and Hit-and-Run Squad weaving in keen insights and poignant details. The series earned high praises both domestically and internationally for shedding light on neglected stories of AWOL soldiers and those who search for them. Season 1 ends with walking in the opposite direction as the other soldiers. The sound of his footsteps breaking out into a run can be heard even after the credits start rolling, leaving viewers wondering where the story will be headed from there.

D.P. captivated viewers and critics alike with mesmerizing characters placed in the novel premise of soldiers hunting down AWOL soldiers. With electrifying chemistry between Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan and sublime performances from Kim Sung-kyun, Son Suk-ku and the other actors, the characters resonate with viewers across the board regardless of generation and gender. The series is not shy about delivering an incisive social message about absurdities of life and unjust realities that are relevant not only in Korean society but in international contexts.

Season 2 will pick up where Season 1 left off with director Han Jun-hee reuniting with writer Kim Bo-Tong to co-write and to create another round of episodes that deeply resonate with viewers around the world.
