A SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE: FARMAGEDDON - movie review

This is the first time that I saw a Shaun the Sheep production and I can recommend it for you to watch it with your kids. It's 97% FRESH on Rotten Tomatoes so you'll have fun watching it.
Farmageddon has a familiar plot but I won't spoil it for you to watch with your kids. Also, the alien is so cute that I wish it could have a merchandise available.
I admire the clay-animation that the producers gave a lot of effort to. I really had no idea that this was close to a Mr. Bean show which has very minimal dialogues but the effects and visuals are fit for your kids to enjoy. The soundtrack also rocks and don't miss an mid-credits scene.

A Shawn the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon is showing on December 4, from Cartoon Network.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER movie review

the final chapter in the hilarious fairytale adventure of an ogre in SHREK FOREVER AFTER will leave all fans to laughter.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER gives the story of Shrek who endured the routinary days of fatherhood and being the king of Far Far Away. more over, he had a quarrel with his wife Fiona and lost his temper during the 1st birthday celebration of his kids. with all the tension he had, he wished to have the time of his life, resulting to dealing with Rumpelstiltskin. unknowingly, this dwarf has been envy and following Shrek's life and now found an opportunity to take over the poor ogre's life.

thru a magical contract, Rumpelstiltskin has successfully took Shrek's life and ruled over Far Far Away. Shrek had realized he had been tricked by the dwarf and now Far Far Away is in total disaster. no one knows he existed, even his close friends, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Gingy and wife Fiona. to get things back to order, they figured out that True Love's Kiss should end the magic of everything and all will return as it had been.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER is a hilarious movie but i think the first three installments are funnier. you won't miss characters like Gingy, Puss and Donkey adding to the cuteness of Shrek's and Donkey's kids. i will surely miss this series. and you should have to check it on 3D.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER is released on May 21 by Dreamworks.

THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG movie review

Walt Disney is back to drawn animation. The Princess and the Frog is a twisted tale loosely based on E.D. Baker's famous fairy tale, The Frog Princess and the Grimm Brother's The Frog Prince. this is set in the Jazz Era of New Orleans where music and dance fills the surroundings of people with great dreams. adding to the Princess Collection of Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Anastacia, is a humble Tiana working as a waitress until see crossed path with an unlikely new friend, Prince Naveen who was cursed by a voodoo practice. Prince Naveen was supposed to be married to Tiana's friend who was the daughter of the richest man in New Orleans.

assuming that they knew how to break the spell, Tiana, who wore a princess costume, kissed Naveen and unexpectedly she became a frog too. now their adventure started until they fell inlove and then eventually broke the spell. *no spoilers there. tee-hee*

Walt Disney never fails to give us heart-warming animations like The Princess and the Frog. and this one gives a broader view of society and dreaming and wishing. you'll love the music and powerful lines from the characters that you'll believe in fairy tales again. it also displays strong friendship and sacrifice. but in spite of great despair, it teaches you how to dream and that you'll get it big.

The Princess and the Frog will leap on Philippine Cinemas on February 3, 2010.

Powerpuff Girls (with a "Z"?)

i was really wondering bakit kelangan pa magkaroon ng remake ang Powerpuff Girls when the japanese can dub it in nihonggo. i saw the remake air on GMA one morning while i was going back to cubao from ortigas. and there were a lot of modifications that you can see on the manga version. at least, the characters were all present. from Professor to the Mayor and Mayor's assistant na hanggang sa japanese version ay hindi makitaan ng mukha. si Mayor ay tumangkad na, si Mojo Jojo ay lumaki ang katawan, nagkaroon ng assistant si Professor and Townsville is well-developed. very inline with the japanese environment. and here's one major change, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup are just regular girls who transform into Powerpuff Girls in times of trouble.

i'm just trying to make the point na sana di-nub na lang ng japanese yung original cartoon. bakit nga naman pala ako affected?

Powerpuff Girls Z airs on GMA 7, 10 AM.
