COLLATERAL BEAUTY movie review

Happy new year! I haven't posted a lot in the past 8 months but I would like to make sure that starting the year would open a lot of good for us. Starting with the latest film with Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Michael Pena, Kate Winslet, Edward Norton, and Kiera Knightley in the movie called Collateral Beauty. Opening today in cinemas, I highly recommend this to everyone to look forward and see the bigger and better picture in every thing that is happening to us.
SYPNOSIS: When a successful New York advertising executive suffers a great tragedy he retreats from life.  While his concerned friends try desperately to reconnect with him, he seeks answers from the universe by writing letters to Love, Time and Death.  But it’s not until his notes bring unexpected personal responses that he begins to understand how these constants interlock in a life fully lived, and how even the deepest loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.
Time, Love and Death played very well on this one. They actually like speaking through you and not to the characters that are portrayed in the movie. When the story is served in front of you, you feel like everything is relatable. I actually cried in many parts. The movie gives so many metaphors and again hits you right on the spot. Congratulations to Allan Loeb for writing this in such a way that made you realize and appreciate these three things in our lives. Moments are derived from sadness and it takes us to be happy, just learning how to appreciate time and love. It also makes us prepare for Death, be ready and accept when it arrives.

From Warner Bros. Pictures, Collateral Beauty is directed by David Frankel.

Scary stories in Boracay

It was a chilling night in Boracay and it was way memorable as I had the first cinema experience in Boracay. Everybody is in Halloween mood and what better way to spend it is to have scary stuff playing on the big screen. I definitely did not miss this experience as my friend MJ who works for Megaworld invited me to watch horror movies inside Boracay Newcoast.
The first outdoor cinema experience in Boracay was held at Oceanway at Boracay Newcoast just for 2 nights on Halloween weekend. It was held outdoors so you get to feel the chills and deep quietness that side of Boracay. But to tone the goosebumps down, we were served with refreshments and hotdog bites and popcorn. We watched Paranormal Activity 4 which I haven't watched yet so it really raised the creeps out of me. Dubbed as "Movie Tricks, Our Treat" by the Boracay Newcoast, it also featured scariest horror flicks like Train to Busan, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2 and The Ring. Movie passes are available at Boracay Sandcastles and screening starts as early as 4pm.
Boracay Newcoast is the biggest tourism estate development by Megaworld's Global Estate Resorts, Inc. inspired by the best beach neighborhoods. Titled lots and world-inspired hotels make it good for the investing community. One of its components is the Shophouse District that have residential and commercial components. Transporting us from the usual island-living to a whole different way of life where people can get to shop on the lower floors and relax at the comfort of their homes at the higher levels -- just like living in Key West in Florida or Old Town in Ibiza.

Its Newcoast Village offers lots ranging from 250 sqm to 375 sqm in an exclusive vacation-inspired subdivision setting. It will also have amenities like parks, pockets gardens and grill areas. Condominium clusters like Oceanway Residences offers ready-for-occupancy units with views encompassing the Fairways and Bluewater Golf Club and the Sibuyan Sea. It has been awarded as "Best Luxury Development for Resort" in the 2015 Philippine Property Awards.

For more information about Boracay Newcoast, call +63 917 887 8696, email customerrelations@megaworldcorp.com or visit www.boracaynewcoast.com.ph.

The Voice PH's Jason Fernandez leads 9WT's American Idiot cast

Here's the part 2 cast of 9 Works Theatrical's American Idiot that will run from June 24 - July 10 at the Globe Iconic Store, Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater, Taguig.
American Idiot is a musical created using the songs of US punk rock band Green Day. Know the cast below:
Chesko Rodriguez was formerly seen as Chantal in the award-winning La Cage Aux Folles in 2014-2015. He also played as one of the horses in Trumpets performance of CS Lewis classic, "The Horse and His Boy." He also appeared in little performances around the Metro.

We got a Miss Saigon alumna in the cast! Ela has performed internationally, notably in Paris, Belgium, Macau and Hong Kong. She was 2013 World Champion in the World Salsa Festival held in Hong Kong and 2012 Champion of Hong Kong’s Best Dance Crew in the jazz/contemporary category. In her latest stint as principal dancer and aerialist at The Festival of the Lion King at Hong Kong Disneyland she has also performed as an actor and puppeteer and a lead singer for High School Musical Live. Welcome back to the Philippines, Ela!

Sarah Facuri also joins the cast of American Idiot and we're familiar with her in Grease and Sandbox Collectives' No Filter 2.0.

Last but not the least, coming from The Voice PH, Jason Fernandez takes the role of Johnny. The main protagonist of the story. On his picaresque journey, he experiences nihilism, drug abuse, and lost love. Jason is a former Rivermaya vocalist but unfortunately got eliminated in one of the episodes of The Voice PH. Taking the new path as a thespian, Jason gives us the promise of a great role and show.
