ANT-MAN movie review

Even the tiniest can be very dangerous. Paul Rudd's Ant-Man defies the odds with great strength in a minute size with this latest and so far the coolest Marvel movie.
The red and black costume has that old "feel" as this was supposedly used by Hank Pym in the previous wars. They may not have directly made him side by side with the Avengers during wars, at least they give some associations and mentions with Tony Stark.

With Ant-Man, there are also funny phrases delivered. Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) wingman named Luis (Michael Pena) even did not let himself go in the low light. Two scenes with him are flawlessly dubbed. I also like how it was edited.
The ant sequences and actions, at least there is no icky feeling with the crawling army. You will in fact love their skills and cooperation. A remarkable National Geographic scene for you to analyze too.
Of course, as a Marvel fan, the show experience isnt complete if don't watch it til the end. Wait for the 2 scenes mid and after the end credits. I'm already excited if Ant-Man gets into the Civil War.

MAGIC MIKE XXL movie review

I didn't see the first movie and I thought that the Magic Mike releases were all just about Channing Tatum and bodies. I was laughing mostly of the movie because of the thrown punch lines. I don't want to give some spoilers for this review and I hope you already reserved your tickets before it comes on screen on July 15!
The story continues three years after Mike (Channing Tatum) retired from being a stripper at the top of his career and then finding himself with the Kings of Tampa. But as their tricks get old, they need to explore and do them their own way. Heading to Myrtle Beach for one last show with Mike, the Kings of Tampa renew old acquaintances, make new friends and learn new moves (which you really, really have to see, btw.)
The Kings of Tampa
This comes from a perspective from one who did not watch Channing Tatum dance in movies. I haven't seen the Step Up series and the other Magic Mike movie but I was amazed by how he moves. I've only seen him in GI Joe and White House Down and didn't know about the moves. You better wait for the dance routines in Magic Mike XXL and learn how to treat ladies right, Haha! Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello shows the tricks too.
The ladies Amber, Jada and Andie shows three kinds of girls that can control the guys. Beauty and power over men flow from the three gorgeous ladies. Amber is so pretty, I may stress.

The movie also has a great soundtrack which you can practice your own routines on.

One question, I thought Ellen Degeneres' gardener, Nick, will be included here?

Orange Magazine TV gives back on 5th anniversary

Good friend in the blogging universe, Jeman Villanueva, proudly celebrates Orange Magazine TV's 5th anniversary with fellow bloggers and industry friends at the World Vision Philippines office on July 1. I am thankful to be part of this small but meaningful gathering with everyone that co-celebrated with him on this special occasion, and took pleasure with a few games and entertainment.
His blog, Orange Magazine TV is a collection on different topics from lifestyle to entertainment, opinion and more and I admired the story behind the success of this journal. His dedication has definitely pulled off and physically shows what it is today.

During the event, there were raffles and entertainment of course. One of the highlights was seeing local rap artist, Gloc9 performing a duet with Lira Bermudez entitled Takipsilim, which has an original interpretation with Regine Velasquez.

THE NORMAL HEART review

I saw AAI The Necessary Theatre's performance of The Normal Heart. It was not just on appreciation of the theater industry; it had opened my senses on the understanding and fighting the stigma caused by the scare of HIV/AIDS virus. This play is just for one weekend so you better watch it from July 3 - 5, 2015 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza.
The play is staged in a very simple way. With two towers that project different scenes in New York at the rise of the disease in the 1980s. When everyone didn't know what to do and judge the gay population of spreading the disease. When most of the gays are scared of what's gonna happen, Ned Weeks (Bart Guingona) has to stand up and make the voice heard and protect those left.
The cast, composed of Topper Fabregas, TJ Trinidad, Nor Domingo, Red Concepcion, Jef Flores, Richard Cunanan and Roselyn Perez, amazingly and effectively able to reach the audience on the storyline. The gestures are clean, conversations hooks you and immerses in your feelings for the people portrayed. For TJ Trinidad's first time as a stage actor, he gives his lines very well and looks like he's done quite of this before. He's better than on TV.

After the press preview, it was a sensible and very significant dialogue with them and the audience. Though it seems that some of the dialogues are presented with humor, the issue is very very serious. And not just the issue of AIDS is the enemy, but the society that neglects individuals that deserve equal rights and treatment. It also presents the sad reality that giving false judgments can start inside within the organization that is eager to fight.

Based on Larry Kramer's novel and HBO-adaptation, The Normal Heart left me with the message of hope when all could be united for the cause. A great contribution to humanity when all can understand. Crossing fingers for a longer run to educate more.
