Visita Iglesia: Holy Rosary Parish Boracay

i was looking for a place to hear anticipated mass in Boracay and i found the Holy Rosary Parish.

the facade is a welcoming arms of Christ surrounded by island elements, trees and sea waves in tile mosaic. it's like feeling that you are in caring arms in paradise like Boracay.

going inside feels so calm and peaceful. the altar is adorned with the risen Christ and beside him are images of the Lady of the Holy Rosary. i heard the choir practicing their songs in peaceful harmony.

you can visit this parish when you visit Boracay most especially during lent. you can take a tricycle or walk on the shoreline of Balabag beach. it is a few steps away from Obama Grill and near the plaza.

RepPhils' JEKYLL & HYDE review

i was transported in old London times in Repertory Philippines' Jekyll & Hyde. whereas Jett Pangan plays our lead. he is joined by Junix Inocian as Utterson, Cris Villongco as Emma Carew and Kalila Aguilos as Lucy Harris.

i can that i almost got teary-eyed from what i saw. everything just fell into its place knowing that it was a new treatment. Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo made great direction. she's got a different view on things and it worked well. the stage, is an operating theater and fully functional. it was a park, Jekyll's lab and even the Red Rat without adding so much props.

as i've said before that i really loved the songs. adding with their ala-Sherlock Holmes costumes, got even more romantic. Take Me as I Am, In His Eyes are some songs that you'll probably listen over and over again. but the song, Facade, would struck everyone. the strong interpretation from all of the cast with matching good lighting suggests that every people is hiding evil inside over the good "image" that they project.

and i would applaud for anyone who will play Jekyll/Hyde. congrats to Jett Pangan and Michael Williams for taking the challenge to sing Confrontation -- which is the most difficult song i heard. taking two sides and modulating the voice line after line is not an easy thing to do. Kalila Aguilos sizzled on stage and Cris Villongco uttered the bitchy lines -- haha!

it was a sad ending but all in all, it was a very good show. and i hope everyone will be able to catch it.

STAGE CAMP opens in 2012

9 Works Theatrical, the theater company behind the Manila runs of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Sweet Charity and RENT now opens its doors for aspiring talents to join their acting and stage workshop: STAGE CAMP.
Stage Camp made ways for its alumni who are enjoying the limelight in the real theater scene. for example, Sarah Facuri and sisters Becca and Rachel Oates are part of Resorts World's ongoing production of Sound of Music. Fran Jose was also recently part of 4th Wall’s Rivalry: The Ateneo-La Salle Musical and appeared in last year’s Seussical the Musical under Rep. Erik Lozano was seen in Kids Act’s Pinocchio while Joseph Perez in Tanghalang Pilipino’s Noli Me Tangere.
this will run on April 16 to March 3 2012 at The Loft @ Manansala where 9 Works mostly do their rehearsals. so it's like immersing into the 9 Works world and having interaction with those you really see on stage. this is because the instructors include Francis Matheu (The Wedding Singer, Peter Pan) and Peachy Atilano (RENT, Sound of Music) for Kiddie Camp; Pre-Teen Camp under Onyl Torres (Joy Luck Club, A Fire in the Soul) and Harold Cruz (Rivalry, RENT), Teen Camp under Toff de Venecia (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Little Shop of Horrors) and Gemini Quintos (Broadway’s Annie and A Christmas Carol), Adult Camp under Topper Fabregas (Leading Ladies, Sweet Charity) and Anthony Tarrosa Ong (Rivalry, Sweet Charity), and Advanced Camp for Adults under 9 Works Theatrical’s Artistic Director Robbie Guevara (Miss Saigon, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown).

i'm starting to put this song in my playlist. i first heard it during a wedding paying homage to the bride. it really is a feel good song for everyone. imagine serenading your lady with this song. this by the way is What Makes You Beautiful, a song by X-Factor boyband One Direction.

i didn't realize that they had a band there. maybe because i didn't follow much of the program. but congratulations to X-Factor by raising a good talent. i hope they'll find longevity in the industry. boy bands are starting to emerge again.

Visita Iglesia: St. Therese Parish Antipolo City

a young parish in the diocese of Antipolo is in reverence of St. Therese of the Child Jesus. it is located by the gate of Kingsville Subdivision, in front of SM City Masinag. the church sits there inviting all Catholic devotees to come.

white walls dominate the building and concentrating on the altar area where the Crucifix, the Immaculate Conception and the image of St. Therese of Lisseux stands. the special relic of St. Therese is found at the left of the altar.

the pews and the aisle is also spacious for your convenience. there are even more seats upstairs to accommodate more church-goers.

i've been hearing lots of buzz and seeing lots of posts on this rising star Jessica Sanchez of American Idol Season 11. she has achieved the Top 13 spot and still going strong. i hope she makes it to the Top 3. please, Americans, keep voting for her! you know you want to be entertained.

and lately, she had a standing ovation and praises from the judges, Jennifer Lopez, Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson after she did I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

for EARTH HOUR 2012

March 31st marks the day for Earth Hour 2012. and i have committed to start promoting the cause through my blog.

i have made this animated image as widget posted in all of the pages of this blog. using simple Photoshop and ImageReady skills, i wish that visitors will be able to notice it. i have given the authority to everyone who wants to share this image in their sites. you can copy the code below:
