Wicked: For Good Unveils New Character Posters and Official Trailer

The land of Oz is stirring once more. Universal Pictures has unveiled a striking new set of Wicked: For Good character posters alongside its main trailer, giving fans a deeper look at the world, the witches, and the forces that will shape the long-awaited conclusion to the two-part musical epic.

The new posters showcase the film’s all-star ensemble, featuring Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Colman Domingo as the Cowardly Lion, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, and Bronwyn James as Shenshen. Each character is captured in rich, atmospheric tones that highlight their emotional journeys and shifting alliances, giving us a glimpse of the darkness and destiny that lie ahead.

Elphaba stands tall and defiant, her green skin gleaming under fractured light — no longer hiding, but standing in her truth. Glinda, radiant as ever, looks out over Emerald City, her elegance tempered with uncertainty. The supporting cast brings added dimension to Oz’s tapestry: from the regal authority of Morrible and the imposing presence of the Wizard to the vulnerability of Nessarose and the charm of Fiyero. Even the Cowardly Lion, Boq, Pfannee, and Shenshen hint at the humanity behind the legends we thought we knew.

The new trailer builds on that imagery, teasing high-stakes drama and musical grandeur. We see Elphaba in exile, fighting for the silenced creatures of Oz, and Glinda navigating fame and influence with growing unease. The visuals promise more than spectacle — they reveal a story about friendship tested by power and truth. Tornadoes rise, magic collides, and the witches’ intertwined fates edge toward the iconic finale that bridges directly into The Wizard of Oz.

Director Jon M. Chu describes For Good as the emotional reckoning of the saga: if the first part was about choice, this second chapter is about consequence. Every note, costume, and gesture underscores that theme — that being “good” or “wicked” may depend entirely on who’s telling the story.

The film also teases new musical moments alongside reimagined numbers from the Broadway classic. Erivo’s powerhouse vocals and Grande’s crystalline tone bring new life to the beloved score, promising performances that will linger long after the final curtain.

Wicked: For Good soars into theaters November 19, 2025, completing a cinematic journey more than two decades in the making. The posters and trailer remind us that the magic of Oz isn’t just in the spells or songs — it’s in the courage to be seen, and the power of friendship that endures through every storm.
