transactions with G-CASH

for me, comfort and speed always comes first in anything. with the dynamic environment, everything should be fast-paced and easy. transactions are one thing that i want to be processed fast. i also want something mobile when i want to shop, tour or dine without bringing a lot of paper cash that gets bulky in the wallet.

Globe G-CASH is an automated money-transfer that allows business transaction by using only your Globe or TM phone. it can also provide you with the following services: domestic and international remittances, utility bills, interest and amortization of loans, insurance premiums, donations to various institutions and organizations, sales commissions and payroll disbursements, school tuition fees, micro tax payments and business registration, electronic loads and pins, online purchases via GCASH Click, and airline tickets.

GCASH Click is yet another feature of the GCASH system. it makes transactions easier by minimizing the time and energy just by sending an SMS. and using this feature, your shopping is guaranteed safe, affordable and hassle-free!

with all and other of these great benefits, Globe GCASH is welcome to be the sponsor of the 2009 DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit happening this November 12 and 13, 2009 at Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City.

and in relation to that, one of the speakers in the said event is Ms. Rizza Maniego-Eala, the president of G-Xchange, Inc. she will tackle about "Challenges and Opportunities in MOBILE MONEY TRANSFER: Implementation of GCASH" -- in which how GCASH will be utilized effectively.

2012 movie review

are you afraid of something? what if you have no choice but to less all things pass, would you save yourself or die helpless?

that's what i saw when i watched 2012. it all started on the belief of the Mayans which really wasn't much touched on the movie. it was like another continental drift unfortunately happened on a very specific date on 2012. the human race didn't really had much time but some powerful individuals manage to take on Darwin: the survival of the fittest.

unimaginable things suppose to happen on 2012. like massive earthquakes, tidal waves and disposition of the continents resulting to great property destruction and lives vanish in an instant. however, the Great 8 had been developing another Noah's Ark to save their races. poor China, their people have been used for the benefit of others but they almost didn't have a chance to save themselves.

doomsday scenes are scary. what if it really happens on 2012? what would you do to survive? the images are almost too realistic with the graphic enhancement. John Cusack also did well but i don't understand his role in the movie.

if you watch this movie, you will be holding tight to your seats.

THIS IS IT movie review

Michael Jackson never fails to entertain us. with his latest hit, not a song, but a rehearsal of his final concert tour, THIS IS IT, has become a worldwide phenomenon. everything was almost close to perfect and by the craft of Kenny Ortega, a documentation of the said concert helped everyone visualize the final outcome of the event.

Kenny Ortega on the set

it starts with Wanna Be Startin' Something for the opening and everyone will be chanting with the "ma-ma-se-ma-ma-sa-ma-ma-coo-sa." the rehearsals started on April 15th 2009 and songs have been lined up for the spectacular show. other songs included in the concert are: Jam, They Don't Care About Us -- where Michael and the dancers are in military mood. special effects are made to form a huge platoon; Human Nature; Smooth Criminal starts with a black and white movie prologue filled with action and nice visual effects.

ladies will be strutting their stuff as Micheal sings The Way You Make Me Feel and they would feel like a model. it was a feel-good moment for them.

a series of Jackson 5 songs takes the old but young-at-hearts back to memory lane with I Want You Back, I'll Be There and a couple of other songs from the Jacksons.

if you want to fall in love, Michael and a partner sings a sexy I Just Can't Stop Loving You.

getting dancy and jumpy, stand up and do the steps of Thriller and Beat It with the immortal dance moves. Thriller has a new approach this time. a very nice production of the ghouls would scare your party feet up on the dance floor.

Michael Jackson has also been known for his songs against racism and an advocate for environmental awareness with Black or White and Earth Song. a new rising star Ornithia plays the lead guitar in Black or White.

Billie Jean will give you the glimpse of the Moonwalk and the show ends with another social song, Man in the Mirror.

you can see that Michael Jackson is a very hands-on person and knows what he wants for a great show. you will have a front-row, first-hand experience of the King of Pop's creative genius, and an eye for perfection. all in all, a very Michael Jackson experience.

social networking with Globe Tattoo Broadband

more than 5 years ago, my college classmate has invited me to join Friendster. i have just been joining groups from other sites to join the forums and until instant messaging systems get into my own body system. the boom of social networking sites has got into the whole generation and as new SNS emerge, expect most people to join it.

blogging has also gotten into me. but it has been hard for me sometimes to update this blog now that i don't have a laptop. mobility is one thing that is required in this day and age.

i am just a newbie with all these wireless broadband things. everything has been going wireless and so in with the "plug-it" feature and you're ready to go. as soon as you have one of those kits, you can update your networking sites and your blogs. you also have the chance to communicate with your friends and colleagues too.

Globe Tattoo Broadband would like to help you with all of these. it is an easy plug-it device that connects you to the internet fast. and since most people has been looking on that "personalized" concept, you can express yourself choosing from the Globe Broadband Tattoo New Skins. see other designs at Globe Tattoo Broadband Gallery, i think there's an ongoing contest if you want to get your own broadband kit to really get "personalized."

with Globe Tattoo Broadband, now you can get in touch and always in-the-know with what's latest online. it has been reviewed FAST by other online users and they have been using it to check their SNS like Facebook, Plurk and Twitter.

it connects pretty fast to 3G provided that you have a good signal with 3G. 3G supports high data rate transmission up to 384 Kbps with wide area coverage, 2 Mbps with local coverage.

there are also two modes of payment when using the network. first is the KB-based charging, which Globe Tattoo Broadband will charge your load/credit 15 centavos Per-KB. and the other one is the time-based charging, which will charge you Php 5 for 15 minutes of browsing. thanks to Kelvin for giving us this info.

the YOUniverse is so wide and there's a lot of things happening. so check them out with the Globe Tattoo Broadband.

Fit and Well with Fit n' Right program

though it's Christmas season and a lot of parties and food come along the way, i have been thinking to getting in shape.

my lifestyle has included big feasts, relaxations that only show results on the outside. but what about the inside? there might be a lot of toxins inside of my thin body and i really wanted to gain weight with those nice calves, biceps and shoulders. i also try to get a balanced diet. i really love food.

besides, i don't have really much time for workout. my everyday routine just includes home and office just sitting and slaving in front of a monitor or TV. munching on my favorite snack and having a sip of juice or water.

then i realized that i have been storing a lot of energy inside my body that are never used. instead they transform to being the most hated part of anyone's body: the belly.

i hate my belly, it's not so big yet but i already want to get rid of it. i have tried weight-management products and none of them really worked. and signing up to the gym has costed me much. i also tried workout videos but my passion and efforts to have that rock hard abs doesn't seem to be successful. my number one enemy, idleness. honestly, when i started to sweat, i stop. seldom comes to my mind when i wanted to jog, do push-ups, crunches or even lifts. never tried to measure to see any accomplishments.

but experts say that that kind of exercising isn't enough. you need to assist it with proper food intake and also aiding it with Del Monte Fit n' Right. last October 23 at Taste Asia in SM Mall of Asia, a special bloggers event was hosted by Del Monte Fit n' Right in partnership with Fitness First to inform us about the benefits of working out and drinking Fit n' Right.

Fit n' Right contains L-Carnitine that helps in washing away bad cholesterol in the body. with a tired body from working out, you can enjoy the refreshing flavors of Fit n' Right:

and going back to the bloggers event, PBA Coach Jim Saret has shared easy-to-do exercises without leaving home. and i tell you, it concentrates on the body parts that will make you really feel sexy. push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, jogs in place with resistance -- all to be done 10 reps everyday to achieve better shape.

and in culmination of the Dare to Be Fit program of Fit n' Right, for all of you health and fun buffs, there will be a fun run scheduled on November 22 in SM Mall of Asia. of course sponsored by Del Monte Fit n' Right. see the attached picture below for details:

for those interested to join, you may proceed to these venues:
  • CEMG Office – Unit 3A Vernida I Bldg., Amorsolo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City/ Look for Marianne Tapales (892.5842/09155498282)
  • Dare to be Fit ‘n Right booths in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig and in selected SM Hypermarkets: Mall of Asia, Sucat, Pasig, and North EDSA
  • Fitness First branches on November 16, 2009.
this will be an exciting and helpful activity of Del Monte Fit n' Right with Fitness First for it not only promotes good living but the proceeds will go to the victims of the storms Ondoy and Pepeng. you help, you live better.

let's run for Pasig River!

being an environment lover myself, i really haven't done any, honestly, for the planet. i have been a contributor to the smoke emissions by riding the PUVs, haven't been a responsible citizen by throwing small pieces of trash anywhere. but then, with the effects of global warming and other calamities done by nature, i have now myself been aware of the consequences of not being concerned to mother nature. i have witnessed firsthand the effects on Ondoy and now i'm scared of any storm that may come to our nation.

but then again, there are big efforts to continue our fight towards a better environment and it focuses on a very prominent Manila natural landmark, the Pasig River. the Pasig River has been declared dead by people after it has been a big garbage dump of course, caused by man. and during the administration of Fidel V. Ramos, the first lady, Ming Ramos has developed the Piso Para sa Pasig program aimed to restore the wonder that has been, Pasig River. and the efforts continue to restore the river for use of future generations.

on Sunday, November 8 2009, a run-for-a-cause has been developed aiming to protect the Pasig River. not only will it help the Pasig River, you can have a cardio exercise and having fun.

we hope that a lot will participate to restore give life again to the river. so that marine life will return, everybody can again breath the fresh air of Pasig River.

this is a fund-raising project so if you want to take part with it, click on the Facebook event page of Pasig River Marathon.

there are discussions over the web on how we can take part other than this marathon. a person once asked: What can college students do to help Pasig River? i commented that everybody can join and participate with the programs regarding saving protecting the Pasig River. but a very simple act like not throwing wastes on the river would be a great help.

we are crying out loud. Save the Pasig River, sign up and run!
