Kimmy Dora now showing on SM Cinemas!

we'll have a great laugh as Eugene Domingo stars in a dual role as Kimmy and Dora in Kimmy Dora: Ang Kambal sa Kiyeme! which is NOW SHOWING in SM CINEMAS! we can now catch it anywhere we want! this is Eugene's first movie as a lead character.

as the title suggests, the movie delivers the funny antics of Eugene Domingo. she plays Kimmy, the intelligent, beautiful, sexy and rich twin sister of Dora who is otherwise. Kimmy fights over the love of a resident hunk in their company named, Johnson, played by Dingdong Dantes, who gives his full attention to Dora.

Dora on the other hand has been getting all the Kimmy wants. the rights to the Go Dong Hae Empire managed by their father Luisito (Ariel Ureta); and the love of Johnson.

other casts include Zanjoe Marudo and Miriam Quiambao in her first comedic role as Kimmy's assistant who endures all pain as Kimmy's punching bag when she is stressed.

Avatar Sneak Peek

James Cameron comes back with another movie masterpiece with Avatar. this is not the regular Avatar which we see in Nickelodeon but this was conceived by the Titanic director 14 years ago. so don't mistake it with The Last Airbender.

a special sneak peek was delivered at the IMAX movie house in SM North EDSA for all movie buffs through special invites. with media partners like Magic 89.9, RX 93.1 and 99.5 RT, Avatar was indeed a great cinema experience on 3D.

Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Zoe Saldanha stars and voices the alien-type clones sent to a mission to another world called Pandora which is a mystical planet that serves great adventure to our cast. special 3D technology was used to provide us great color and cinematography and James Cameron came back with his great movie craftsmanship.

the Quezon City Symphonic Band

August 21 is a very significant day for Filipinos because this was the death anniversary of a very significant figure in the Philippine History: Ninoy Aquino, whom with his wife, the late former president Cory Aquino, has brought democracy back to all of us and ousted the dictatorship of a former leader. August 21 has also been chosen by Araneta Center to be the date of looking back to the Filipino roots by bringing us the artistry and grandeur of our talents, one of which is the Quezon City Symphonic Band.

the Quezon City Symphonic Band was formed more than 2 decades ago and they have been composed of woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments and passed generations of musicians of Quezon City. at the August 21 event, we are very fortunate to witness their talent as they play numerous songs and medleys composed by other musicians and themselves.

Julian Felipe's rendition of the Philippine National Anthem Lupang Hinirang was indeed played as it should be:

and for a special number, they have a rendition of a number of 80's songs with Thriller, Wind Beneath My Wings, and others:

other performances were a selection of songs from the 70s, love songs and even liturgical shows. sorry if i haven't recorded them, my battery went empty and memory wasn't enough. LOL
