Ohmski's Blogline: Pantene satisfaction in 3 Minutes!

last Friday was another night for me to remember. Pantene hosted this night for bloggers and offered the experience their latest product: the new Pantene 3-Minute Miracle treatment. why 3-minutes? it can restore your 3-month damaged hair in as fast as 3 minutes! all of us won't believe it at first and would say, only a miracle could do that. thus, Pantene 3-Minute Miracle gave us a new gift that would fix all hair problems, again, in just 3 minutes! me, as a Pantene user myself, is also curious to try this out.

everything went well and all is done, 3 minutes by 3 minutes. the program started with a 3-minute countdown, i ate all everthing in my plate in 3-minutes (joke! and another set of food from the TasteAsia buffet which i enjoy everytime, thank you very much), and i would even give a testimony that Pantene really worked in 3 minutes! i have alex, rio and even my sister with her officemates who won the "Pantene version" of Pinoy Henyo. i'm so proud of her. the game was already a give-away. guess what's behind your back in the shortest time for 3-minutes. it's cool that the only thing left to guess was the product itself. it's even better when you say it right.

one of the highlights of the night was when Judy Ann Santos arrived. i am a confessed Juday fan and i'm so happy that she went to the event. but i felt bad that we have no photo souvenir together. lucky for azrael and joriben, two online friends to be able to take pictures with her.

Juday narrates her experience with the whole advertising campaign and she too is amazed that Pantene 3-minute Miracle Treatment worked for her. so she vouches for this product for everyone to try.

the night closed with live bands especially with Pinoy Dream Academy contender, RJ Jimenez that serenaded all guests with hits for the heart and songs for the soul.

in short, na-starstruck talaga ako. hahaha

Survivor Philippines: Jarakay?! Ganon?!

John Lopez, the Automechanic Model, has been turned down by the alliance he belongs to. mainly on his condition which almost get on for the second time before the Tribal Council. (aba, Jace, bakit nman?) but before the voting session, Paolo interviews each of them. John exposes his vote for Nikki for she is the spoiled princess of the tribe. and his experience of having a hard time breathing every morning. (hmmm.. John baka iba na yan. hindi kaya na-mumu ka? Kaye had an experience with this pero unlike yours.) this has been asserted by Jace, Vern and Marlon. while Paolo reads the votes, we can see that Marlon shakes his head for the loss of one of the muscle Jarakay. John exits the Tribal Council and puts Jace responsible for the tribe.

Naak still fun pa rin! Cris (cramps, Chitae) had a visit from his siblings! hahaha... local monkeys from Koh Tarutao that is. Kiko, Kaye and Zita had a play on voices. Rob, together with Kiko and JC, continues to stick to their alliance.

Survivor Philippines: Lechon works!

Naak wins 2 challenges in a row! after enjoying the lechon de leche from the Reward Challenge, Immunity idol is back with them. nakatulong ang pagkain ng madaming lechon para maibalik ang energy. the challenge's objective is to tag the person at the tail of the opposite tribe while tied together and carrying a 10-pound bag each person. once a person is tagged, he or she will be put to jail and give the bag to the teammates to increase the burden.

nagkakaladkaran pa habang hinahabol ng Naak ang Jarakay. natanggal din ang swimsuit ni Kaye and Cris is to the rescue to cover her up. (hmmm... cramps, ha.) as they continue, lalong nahirapan si Kaye dahil bumababa s Zita para lumangoy at magpadala na lang sa hila ng tribe. Kaye has been yelling on Zita to walk upright and cooperate with her kasi hindi na nya kaya. Rob, on Naak's head, tags Nikki, Charisse, Marlon, Vern and finally John and no one on Naak has been caged.

Jace carrying all 60 pounds of bags struggle to catch up with the challenge. kahit papano nakakaawa sya nung sya na lang mag-isa. John also says na parang tanga sina Nikki and Charisse na nagchi-cheer para sa Jarakay.

Jarakay returns to camp tired and quiet.

i missed talking about Sirenea

tagal na rin na pinagusapan natin ang Shell Phone (teka, ano number ng shell phone mo? hahaha) at bukas matatapos na ang tv adaptation ng GMA na Dyesebel. i missed some episodes buti na lang i was able to follow them through their "ang nakaraan" inserts. but i have some concerns on the show:

some negative points:
(Ricky D.)
  4. Hero Angeles' role (Mark) didn't give much contribution on the story. as like to Paolo (Aljur A.) and Shiela Mae (Kris B.).
  5. nung umpisa pasaway pa si Dyesebel, not good for younger audiences to imitate.
good side:
  1. ang galing ni Buboy!
  2. another creative production from GMA. na-enhance pa nya yung story with additional fantasy characters and settings.
  3. great apperance by Elizabeth Ramsey as Mother of Pearl.
  4. good choice of location for the first parts of the series. ganda ng Palawan.
  5. daming pakulo ha.
  6. the antagonists have played well. you can have the feeling of irritation kapag nakikita mo sila.
  7. bare skin and scales exposures. heheh
  8. nice theme song too.
congrats GMA for another job well done. i'll check Gagambino next time.

Survivor Philippines: Reward na nga, may KJ pa

naglaway talaga ang Jarakay sa reward ng Naak na lechon de leche. and Rob was giving outright comments na lalong nagpainggit sa Jarakay. but suddenly Kiko got up and walked from the table and explains that they really deserve the reward but they have no right to be boastful about it. Rob gets irritated and says that no one should tell him what to do. sa akin lang, minsan na nga lang manalo ang Naak, bakit hindi pa lubus-lubusin. they've had enough of being underdogs in every challenge kaya minsan naman, magbunyi sila. hehehe..

meanwhile at Jarakay, bonding time. they've had good times kahit natalo sila sa RC. at lahat sinisisi si Marlon sa pagkatalo and they really envy Naak for that. napansin ko lang na pumapayat na sila ha. 14 days pa lang ang nakakalipas

balik sa Naak, Kiko and Rob has reconciled kasi kelangan pa rin naman ng team work para sa Immunity Challenge. Mama Zita goes back to taking care of her "kids" and does her choores again by washing their clothes. para matuyo yung mga damit nila, she places them near the bonfire they created. buti nalang hindi nasunog yung mga damit nila. lalo na yung kay Kaye na sinuot pa nga ni Rob sa ulo.
"Kaye o, ginawang helmet ni Rob ang panty mo" - Zita
SP has given us a clip of what's going to happen tonight. each tribe will be chained again together and the people at the end of the chain always stumbles down. (matatanggal daw ang swimsuit ni Kaye sa challenge, lumutong kasi sa pagpapausok ni Rob. e lagi naman naghe-hello ang valley ni Kaye tuwing interview)

take me to my roots

i have wondered how i came to being. of course, there's the fact that i have my parents and grandparents. but beyond that, i have no more information of my genealogy. i knew as my mom told me that my grandpa has become a councilor of Marikina. and i happen to be cousins with the current Marikina representative, Del de Guzman. the Dela Paz clan, which my mother's roots happen to fall into, is a very big group in Marikina. i'm sorry that i didn't have to know our relatives i don't know our connection with the Legaspi actors (Zoren, Kier) but she also said that we are on the third degree of kinship. sometimes i want to assume that it is true but i'd like to trace our connection. maybe i got this "celebrity potential" too. ;)

i sometimes wondered if i have foreign roots, from which branch of the family tree did i get my physical features, how my ancestors look like, what they do when they were still alive. i also want to ask them, how do they spend their leisure time and what do they eat. time has left this information and most of us don't even try to take a look back on our ancestry.

so i signed up with this website i found for genealogy and try to trace back my ancestors. will i get my connection with celebrities? historical figures, maybe Jose Rizal or some Chinese business tycoon?

do Koreans really love it here?

last Sunday, napadaan ako sa Arirang TV and they are showing a kid's quiz show entitled Super Kids. it was yet the elimination round and the questions are about a famous novel called Heidi by Johanna Spyri. i don't know the answers to the question because i haven't read the book nor saw the Japan animation adaptation. pero what i know is that it's about a shepherd girl from France. the kids did great. and 5 children survived until the final round.

the real subject on this blog is not the students but the prizes. when they flashed the profiles of the children, one kid goes "Mom, dad, grandma, I promise I'll take you to the Philippines!" what?! would you think it would be better for them to stay there? and isn't it that there are more places rather than here? that was my initial reaction when I saw that profile. maybe it's a big deal for an elementary kid to get here but at first I thought he's nuts. i'm not degrading our country and of course i love it here. but they have a lot of other choices. HK is there, Tokyo, Beijing, and Singapore may be considered. and what's with us anyway that urged them to come over?

and here are the prizes:
GRAND PRIZE - family package to the Philippines (didn't mention where)
laptop, digital camera, mp3 player, Nintendo DS

for me, I would rather have those other techie stuff. besides, the Philippines is always here. I can go anywhere, anytime I want.
