Ms. Solaire Megan Young is now Ms. World 2013

Solaire Resort and Casino congratulates Megan Lynne Young for reigning beauty as the new Ms. World 2013 held in Bali, Indonesia last September 28.

Solaire was the official residents of the candidates during the Ms. World Philippines pageant where they experienced top-of-the-line amenities and in which Megan bagged awards for the said pageant like Ms. Solaire Resort and Casino, Best in Fashion Runway, Miss Sports and the title Miss World Philippines.

Mr. Donato Almeda from the Board of Directors, expressed these words in congratulation to Megan:

"On behalf of the management and staff of Solaire, I extend my heartfelt congratulations. At the Miss World Philippines coronation we knew you would be the strongest contender yet. We are very excited over your win. And we are honored that Solaire was the home of the Miss World Philippines pageant for this year."

Megan won the title of Miss World besting other 126 candidates from all over the world and expressing her advocacy on "beauty with a purpose." she also got the Top Model award and getting 5th place in Beach Body category. as Ms. World, she bags the first crown in the said pageant in the history of the Philippines.

SEARCH IS ON: Miss Bikini Philippines 2013 by Slimmers World

candidates must possess the following criteria to be able to join the competition:

1. female, 18-25 years old;
2. at least 5'6 tall;
3. beautiful and sexy;
4. single, never been married nor given birth;
5. Filipino citizen;
6. of good moral character;
7. willing to represent the Philippines in the international pageant if declared winner;
8. willing to stay in Manila for the duration of her reign and serve as Slimmers World ambassador for Slimming, Fitness, Health and beauty.

Congrats to Janine Tugonon

conratulations to our very own Janine Tugonon, 23-year-old Filipina for bringing home 1st runner up in the recently concluded Miss Universe beauty pageant. while Olivia Culpo from the USA wore the crown title as Miss Universe 2012.

in the event held in Planet Hollywood hotel, 88 candidates from all over the world vied for the crown. and it was very pleasing to everyone that Janine Tugonon gets included in the Top 16, Top 10 and most of all in the Top 5 together with Brazil (4th runner up), Australia (3rd runner up), Venezuela (2nd runner up) and USA. Janine Tugonon really stand out from the Caucasian and Latina beauties that moment and she was a crowd favorite even when the competition starts.

and more that the Filipinos bet on Miss Philippines after answering the big question very relaxed and with much poise. see the video below:

Judge Nigel Barker asked Miss Philippines, "As an international ambassador, do you believe that speaking English is a prerequisite to be Miss Universe?" to which she responded, "For me, Miss Universe is not about being able to speak a specific language, it's about being able to influence and inspire other people. No matter what language you speak, as long as you have the heart and a strong mind, you can become Miss Universe." - Silver Chips

while everyone is in ire of the results, 1st runner up would still be a very important position for Janine. as it was said, "in case the reigning Miss Universe can't fulfill her duties, the first runner-up will take over." our support for the winner, and of course to Janine, in fulfilling their duties as they promote good will throughout the world.
