Teleperformance ushers in the Year of the Fire Monkey

Chinese New Year will be celebrated this coming February 8 and the country's leading contact center company, Teleperformance, ushers in the Year of the Fire Monkey with hope and prosperity as it will continue to strive in giving the best client servicing and employee satisfaction. I was there to witness the event and had a tour of their facility at SM Mall of Asia Annex.
Starting with the traditional lion and tiger dance to spread good luck and to cheer the people up. I never encountered such performance so close and also learned new culture aside from just watching it roam in different establishments everywhere.

Teleperformance celebrates its 20th year in 2016 here in the Philippines. As a leader in the ICT-BPO sector, it also keeps its commitment in providing the best employment experience by constantly reviewing and upgrading its facilities in different sites in the country. They have 274 branches in 62 countries and 16 of them are located in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu and Davao.

We were then toured around their office facility where a certain feature was very noticeable. Teleperformance gives the five essential elements, cosmos, earth, metal, air and fire -- a representation to their core values: Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, Innovation and Commitment. This serves as a reminder for the top management to the ranks of how Teleperformance treats the business very well as well as the welfare of its employees.
I was amazed by the amenities available for training, workstations and even for their leisure activities. Their training area provides the instructor/trainer and trainees adequate interaction so that employees will be able to handle calls very well. It has come to their analysis that customers must be well understood to prevent irate and adverse events.
Neo Samson, Site Director, Teleperformance SM MAAX
Inside the actual training room
We also toured around their canteen, which is adjacent to the gym, and the recreational area. I smelled the fresh leather in the gym equipment and the recreational area has gaming consoles, table tennis and billiard tables. Aside from accepting people's calls, TP employees also get to enjoy their free time socializing with each other. Aside from that, they also hold promote socio-civic engagements where they interact with other employees from other branches.

For further information, visit Teleperformance website at www.teleperformance.ph or their Facebook fanpage at www.facebook.com/teleperformance.philippines.

keeping it cool on #iBlog8

the 8th Philippine Blogging Summit, also known as iBlog 8, refreshed me with knowledge in blogging. technical points and even insights on why we blog had struck newbies and iBlog loyal participants alike. i did enjoy the talks in the two days of the summit and it got even more relevant when 2 people talked about the how blogging is another window to your soul; moreso of how you make yourself in the community.

i was the timer during the two days, May 25 and 26, which happened at the UP College of Law in Quezon City. that's even why i got more focused on the talks unlike the previous years that i attended when i was just there to show up. i must say that i got more informed and that blogging techniques was just simple. i just had to devote my time more if i want to get more. but what more interest everybody is those talks that talk about attitude and character. please, let's all admit that we were committing the same mistakes and that we also bully other people. no body is clean enough unless you realize your own fault.

i would just like to let out this story that i had experienced yesterday. it was just about the end of the summit and without all the fuzz, i volunteered myself to do some easy stuff to help the organizers. in order to organize things especially during the raffle of a race event, i did my job to collect all the raffled participants. i collected the contact details and all, the sponsor was also beside me to assist. until this one winner requesting me that instead of the race kit, this person wants to have a t-shirt instead. i hope i was cheerful enough to accommodate her request that i consulted the hosts and even the head of the project if the request is possible. but they didn't allow it. i said sorry that we won't be able to give it, however, i suggested to register and give the race category and size of the person whom he/she wants to run in his/her behalf. but this person bursted out "BUT YOU DIDN'T TELL THEM THAT I WAS INCAPABLE OF RUNNING!" i got moved away, still smiling, transferring this person to the heads of the event, and continued to accommodate the other raffle winners of the race.

many saw the incident, and comforted me instead. it was very unfortunate, yes, but i hope that there should be a lesson to this. i also hope that this person realizes that there are people who are just doing their job, not to abuse their power as guest and maximizing all your priviledges. i don't know who you are and i am doing my best to do my job. i hope you listened to the talks and not like me in the previous years whose only reason of attending the event is to show up. you could have said it in the nice way that maybe you are in a condition why you can't run; not assuming me that i know everything about you. you don't just step into a door, getting yourself with all the priviledges you can have. a raffle is a raffle, i've made my suggestions. and i hope you listened to the talks earlier. if you demand that i should be more sensitive about you, i am not asking you to be sensitive of what i am. i just need you to understand the people around you.

My Fucoidan Facial Treatment

it was a great afternoon for wellness bloggers to be treated like kings and queens as we experience pampering in their Fucoidan wellness center. but before everything else, Fucoidan is tagged as the miracle of the sea for it provides nourishment to the body for a better you.

it is developed from the finest kind of brown seaweed and algae found in the deepest seas of Japan which is further studied and found the following effects:

  1. This food supplement builds a stronger body immune system deterring infections and harmful toxins.
  2. It enhances the cleansing of blood that helps lesson blood clotting.
  3. It improves joint mobility lessening the tissue build-up around the key joints and bones.
  4. It detoxifies our inner system and acts as a cleansing agent for the heavy and harmful toxins we have in our bodies
  5. Lowers cholesterol
  6. Proven to help fight cancer cells.
  7. It prevents and controls high blood pressure and cholesterol.
  8. It moisturizes the skin giving it a smooth, younger look and glow.
  9. It helps reduce sugar levels.

Ms. Marissa del Mar gives testimony to this effects while she had been taking this for years and saw improvement in her lifestyle and body. as the only distributor and CEO/President of Fucoidan products in the country, she is now managing the wellness center providing different services using the miracle of the sea.

the place is simple but you will feel at home upon entrance and the attendants, doctors and therapists are so welcoming. they also use modern machines that aid in fat reduction or slimming and skin improvement.

as for me, i have tried the facial treatment and it was really awesome. the treatment was so rejuvenating and with the help of Fucoidan capsules that were given to us to be tested, little by little i felt changes: for one is the proper sleeping pattern and next is the improvement in my skin.

this was my first time to have major facial treatment. it's a little painful to have myself pricked but my therapist had the patience and care like a mother. again, i like to thank Ms. Shirley for the treatment. i'd like to come back again.

WATTA TEMPURA! bloggers event

Yehey and Tokyo Tokyo invited us to experience:

and we had another adventure!
24 bloggers assembled at Tokyo Tokyo, Trinoma to hunt 2 tiger prawns going around the mall. the challenge is to take a group picture with two prawn celebrities, LePRAWN James and PRAWNis Hilton which can be found using the following clues to track them:

the PINK Team consisted of chris, hannah, sire, flowell and brian with a marshall from Yehey. i think the race was so infavor for us that's why we finished first on the race. LePRAWN James is found at Time Zone but there is a slight mistake for identifying it with another prawn. PRAWNis Hilton is just busy sipping her coffee from an even bigger venti-sized Starbucks cup.

we finished all tasks before the time limit of 30mins and fortunate enough to get into first place. the whole challenge is once again fun, thanks Yehey.

after the event and some photo ops of course, the GM of Tokyo Tokyo, told us more about these huge prawns made into tempura claiming that the rights of having the biggest tempura recall to Tokyo Tokyo.

Blue Water Day Spa Capitol Hills

thanks to Francis Simisim for taking us to one-of-a-kind relaxation experience at Blue Water Day Spa. at first it was the Spa Theater at the Greenhills branch, now it's time for the Ohmski invasion to the Capitol Hills Branch.
away from the busy streets of the city, a sanctuary of peace and tranquility along the slopes of Capitol Hills, Quezon City is the Blue Water Capitol Hills branch. you are surrounded by green grass and nice view of Capitol Hills. a very peaceful area and Blue Water Day Spa is really apt to be placed here.

finding in the area are blogmates james, marc, gail, earth, and badet, all of us to enjoy a different relaxation experience. we are asked to choose between a foot massage or a Swedish massage to try out. of course, i answered the Swedish massage to take out all the stress throughout my body.

as with Blue Water's known reputation, all facilities are clean and well-maintained. from the bath room to the massage area, actually i couldn't say anything because i was in awe of the unusual feeling that Blue Water Day Spa is giving me. the sauna is good, the shower is clean, don't worry if you don't have extra things, they give you bath essentials before having the massage.

the massage went well. my masseuse did a good work with all the pressure points of my body. i almost fell asleep.

the experience ended with a nice and healthy bunch of fruits and tea.

Relaxation is not that too distant

we are all under pressure in our everyday lives and it's not just caused by the summer heat. the stress caused by the demanding work load in the office makes my tiny body sore and might almost drop if i don't get the time to rest. getting in and out of the office they also say is very dangerous so i take vitamins to stop getting flu caused by the changing temperature.

as i've talked about BlueWater Day Spa before, i am lucky enough to experience their spa theater with other fellow bloggers. now, they want us to experience again their services at the Capitol Hills branch. and from the green and relaxing view of Capitol Hills, a good massage will be a great addition.

a nice whole body massage would be able to take off those back stresses and improve my blood circulation and definitely would take me to a good sleep. i already can manage my tickles and enjoy a good massage. BlueWater Day Spa has made me experience the service and i want to go back.

the Capitol Hills branch is not that distant from where i live. just a ride from Katipunan avenue can drop me at the nearest BlueWater Day Spa. it wouldn't be so hard for me to get the massage i want.

map to the Capitol Hills branch

if you want to experience to be king or a queen in service of BlueWater Day Spa, you can drop at their location at:

BlueWater Day Spa Capitol Hills Branch
Capitol GreenStreet Commercial Center, Capitol Hills Golf Annex Building, Capitol Hills Drive, Old Balara, Quezon City

a new business venture for Cory Quirino

there's a new bible for fitness and wellness aficionados.

a dinner party for wellness was held at the Santan Room of the EDSA Shangri-La last night. it was the launch of Cory Quirino's ZEN HEALTH magazine for wellness. the first two issues feature matinee idol Gabby Concepcion and beauty goddess Dawn Zulueta on different covers. members of the media, bloggers and members of HerWord.com are invited to witness the unveiling.

the new ZEN Health Magazine features products, diet and health, and practical body care tips that come straight from Cory Quirino herself.

a lot of prizes like a luxury stay in Shangri-La Mactan and an alkaline water machine worth Php 35 000 were given away as raffle.

hosted by her brother, Poncy, the night was extravagantly glamorous and there's sightings of Joel Cruz (Aficionado owner), Gabby Concepcion and Ricky Davao.

Ricky Davao ended the night with a couple of serenades to the attendees.

ganun pala sa IMAX

yesterday i had the chance to watch the premiere of Monsters vs. Aliens at the IMAX theater. thanks to Yehey who gave us tickets for this event for free.

i went off early from the office to catch the cocktails before the movie screening. i was with sire, leira, montsch and aeirin acosta, earth, jenn and jeff aspacio, az, sarah, joriben, chris and trix. those who haven't got into my list, dko pa kasi kayo kilala masyado. hehe... basta event kayang isacrifice ang trabaho. lol

so back to the IMAX experience, upon entrance, kelangan talagang isurrender ang mga camera phones at iba pang devices na pwedeng mag-capture ng images inside the cinema. para iwas pirata na rin. and you will also be given a pair of 3D glasses para lalo mong ma-appreciate ang movie in 3D.

maganda ang loob pero 2 lang ang aisles, yung nasa gilid lang. so kapag pupunta ka sa upuan mo e marami kang madadaanan bago ka makarating. be sure to pee before the show to avoid hassle.

the chairs are soft and cozy. kahit gustuhin mong maglean pa e komportable ka pa rin dahil may space pa para sa tao sa likod mo na mag-unat-unat.

when the movie started, ibang dimension talaga! pero kung medyo malapit ka sa screen, sasakit mata mo. halos maluha talaga ako hindi dahil sa kakatawa sa movie pero sa sobrang lapit ko sa screen. but everything is fine and i enjoyed the movie.
