Taking the design in the new dimension, the Samsung Series 9 is the most stylish yet with the most functional features. It is the thinnest notebook with only 16.3 mm in depth. The display is 13 inches, and using Samsung's LED technology: the "SuperBright Plus" it is the brightest with 16 million color reproduction that is 80% brighter than other notebooks. The casing is the most advanced Duralumin metal alloy that is only used in specialized aircrafts. This sexy baby is just the lightest and most stylish in history.

Italy is home to fine art. Not to mention the roots of the greatest artists and inventors in world history like Leonardo da Vinci. It is also the cradle of early civilization and high-class fashion and lifestyle. The world looks up to Italy as a symbol of human accomplishment.

One manifestation of fine art in Italy is the stained glasses of cathedrals. Glass has been a good material in Italian art and is found at every corner of the religious buildings. Furthermore, this kind of art is seen in almost every building. Homes, stores and restaurants exhibit a colorful display of glass art which attract people to come in.

In our history at 1291, glass art has been diverted from Venice to Murano based on a law that all furnaces used for glassmaking be moved from Venice to Murano to avoid the risk of fire from the furnaces spreading onto the largely wooden structures of overpopulated Venice.

One specific type of glass art technique is the millefiori, Italian for “a thousand flowers” which is first used by Egyptians. The basis of this technique is the use of glass canes (rods) which contain a single flower design visible only on the surface of cross sections of the cane. The object is then formed using the cross-sections of multiple such rods, which are melted together to cover the surface of the glass object.

Walt Disney’s latest princess hit “Tangled” featuring the voices of Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore as Rapunzel is now hitting the video stores. The Tangled DVD is available right now for only 11.95. you must reserve now a copy to relive and remember Rapunzel’s adventures with Flynn Rider.

In Tangled, I can remember that they gave the back story of how Rapunzel was put into the tall tower since she was a baby. And there’s something magical with her that’s why the wicked woman kidnapped her from the Royal Family. With curiosity in her mind, she wants to get out to the real world. But she was forbidden by her stepmother because of her selfish agenda.

Crossing her way was a thief-at-large, Flynn Rider, who was like the Robin Hood of their kingdom. With a schemed incident, he befriends Rapunzel and he had given the lost princess’ one-of-a-kind adventure. Their tandem is one fun and exciting combination and a very memorable one. With Flynn, Rapunzel even discovered her true roots.

But for every success story there’s a big pitfall, since Flynn had discovered that Rapunzel is a royalty, he had the chance to get rich himself. Using Rapunzel as lure to the wealth, she was unaware that she will be used. Flynn’s conscience had to fight for had fallen in love with the girl, for real.

Tangled was more that fun. It’s a nice combo of songs, story, humor and magic good for the kids. I have noticed that some scenes are patterned from other Disney Princess story.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES movie review

Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) is back with more antics in 20th Century Fox's sequel, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules! and now he has to overcome his new nemesis, his brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick). the evil older brother is on power to bully Greg. and he can do everything to put Greg into shame.

but after a major incident, their parents had left them and arrange things between them. there have been a huge "brothers deal" between the two and they had fun and got along well. after all the fun, all they have to do is to lie that "nothing happened." unfortunately, there is one bad fruit that came out. and this dissed out Rodrick and almost didn't speak to Greg again. but Greg couldn't help himself since he misses how fun they had with each other. so he made something extraordinary that for sure he will make Rodrick happy. good that things go well.

here we can clearly define the value of family put into the story. not just as how kids deal with middle school in the United States but the importance of someone who is there to back you up.

again, the pack of kids are still present. Rowley, Fregley, Patty and Chirag who will give you the colorful fun at middle school. all Greg's funny antics with Rowley will raise you from your seats laughing, grossed out or even blush on love. Greg will have a new love interest here. :)

ARTHUR movie review

if you have billions of dollars in hand, what would you do? for Arthur (Russel Brand), who is the sole-heir in a business empire, trashes his wealth out to the people around. and this includes party, alcohol and sex. bringing shame to his family, his mother arranged a marriage for him and another business heir, Susan (Jennifer Garner) and in return, Arthur has to brush off his childishness.

but along the way, he finds an average girl named Naomi (Greta Gerwid) who opened the doors to Arthur of living a simple life. Arthur then realizes what he has been missing and eventually fell in love with Naomi.

to save the business empire, Susan has a lot to work on Arthur to push through with the marriage. even to lie to herself that Arthur doesn't like her. desperate measures to have a share in Arthur's coming wealth when they get married.

but in all of this, Arthur's nanny, Hobson (Helen Mirren), is the only person that can understand him. she thinks that Arthur is a strong person and in how we see Arthur, he is worth loving for. too bad that she had to die before the story ends but this has made Arthur live on his own and grow up as a man. i love her character as i wish that there could be more like her -- who understands you in whatever you do and supports you.


it's so good to be like Arthur. but we have to remember the consequences and responsibilities as a person, whether we'll be rich or poor. mixed up with a lot of humor but it brings back the lesson to you at the end.


Arthur opens on April 23 in the Philippines, distributed by Warner Bros Pictures, a Warner Bros Entertainment Company.
