Pacman-Hatton: Battle of the East and West Recap

yey! he won again! we are no underdogs and People's Champ, Manny Pacquiao proved it 5 times over after his big fight with former welterweight champion Ricky Hatton of Manchester, UK. though it's kind of "bitin" of only having 2 rounds, that big blow by Manny's southpaw knocked Ricky Hatton down. the West is no match for the East.

we were waiting for the fight on TV and on the radio simultaneously. we sure did make a lot of electricity consumption during Pacquiao fights. the TV was showing the delayed telecast of the undercards and the radio was relaying what was really going on live. i haven't got the chance to see it online, the live radio announcements are enough for me.

The National Anthems
Martin Nievera sang the Philippine National Anthem. i didn't like it. why? the arrangement is not good and not sang properly for a respected musician in the industry. haven't they learned from the previous cases of trashing the Philippine National Anthem? there's nothing wrong in singing it proudly but please, let's stick with the original arrangement.

then Tom Jones sang God Save the Queen of the Brits and Jasmine Villegas for the Star Spangled Banner.

Star-studded
expect the line up of politicians and famous local supporters of Pacman. but there's more than just the Philippine people who bet on MP and able to witness the event. famous wrestler Dave Batista escorted MP to the ring, Hollywood moviestars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson, and international hitmakers, Mariah Carey and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs were seen on the event. Oscar Dela Hoya, once defeated by MP, was also seen on venue in support of Hatton.

The Fight
only 2 rounds and Hatton's a goner. twice he fell on the first round. first he outbalanced himself when he tried to jab Pacman in the face but Manny had escaped it thus Hatton overturned and fell. Ricky Hatton almost cornered MP on the side of the ring, also grasping him and punch him on the sides -- not very clean tactic. MP's 67 inches reach was able to throw punches on Hatton's face making him a little dizzy. also, MP's speed is his ace.

with about 10 seconds in Round 2, Pacman hits Hatton on the right jaw with his south paw while Ricky Hatton attempts to give MP a punch on Manny's right side. he never saw it coming and totally unaware that made him fall to end.

Manny Pacquiao claims Ricky Hatton's title and still reign as the Greatest Fighter of all time.

Judy Ann and Ryan Agoncillo -- Totally Unannounced!

it was a good morning opener to know that Judy Ann Santos is now -- MRS. Ryan Agoncillo! the two had tied the knot this morning at 7 attended by exclusively close friends and relatives. a TOTALLY UNANNOUNCED event for the rest of us who are waiting.

Sighted at the wedding were Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Paolo Abrera, Suzy Entrata, Sharon Cuneta and husband Senator Francis Pangilinan.

Security at the provincial church was tight and no media was allowed to enter the premises and cover the occasion.

WATTA TEMPURA! bloggers event

Yehey and Tokyo Tokyo invited us to experience:

and we had another adventure!
24 bloggers assembled at Tokyo Tokyo, Trinoma to hunt 2 tiger prawns going around the mall. the challenge is to take a group picture with two prawn celebrities, LePRAWN James and PRAWNis Hilton which can be found using the following clues to track them:


the PINK Team consisted of chris, hannah, sire, flowell and brian with a marshall from Yehey. i think the race was so infavor for us that's why we finished first on the race. LePRAWN James is found at Time Zone but there is a slight mistake for identifying it with another prawn. PRAWNis Hilton is just busy sipping her coffee from an even bigger venti-sized Starbucks cup.

we finished all tasks before the time limit of 30mins and fortunate enough to get into first place. the whole challenge is once again fun, thanks Yehey.


after the event and some photo ops of course, the GM of Tokyo Tokyo, told us more about these huge prawns made into tempura claiming that the rights of having the biggest tempura recall to Tokyo Tokyo.

thanks to Francis Simisim for taking us to one-of-a-kind relaxation experience at Blue Water Day Spa. at first it was the Spa Theater at the Greenhills branch, now it's time for the Ohmski invasion to the Capitol Hills Branch.
away from the busy streets of the city, a sanctuary of peace and tranquility along the slopes of Capitol Hills, Quezon City is the Blue Water Capitol Hills branch. you are surrounded by green grass and nice view of Capitol Hills. a very peaceful area and Blue Water Day Spa is really apt to be placed here.

finding in the area are blogmates james, marc, gail, earth, and badet, all of us to enjoy a different relaxation experience. we are asked to choose between a foot massage or a Swedish massage to try out. of course, i answered the Swedish massage to take out all the stress throughout my body.

as with Blue Water's known reputation, all facilities are clean and well-maintained. from the bath room to the massage area, actually i couldn't say anything because i was in awe of the unusual feeling that Blue Water Day Spa is giving me. the sauna is good, the shower is clean, don't worry if you don't have extra things, they give you bath essentials before having the massage.

the massage went well. my masseuse did a good work with all the pressure points of my body. i almost fell asleep.

the experience ended with a nice and healthy bunch of fruits and tea.
