Plurk tayo!

i've just created my Plurk account yesterday and i realized that i got hooked now. i post shoutouts on real time and get replies on real time too. hmm, better than YM? i think not. but i can update my friends on my other sites.

one cute feature of Plurk is that it has this Filipino option where all other statements on the site go Tagalised. your profile and all content translates to our native language. speaking of profile, we know all the blah-blahs from your name, etc. and just like friendster, even your civil status. when i chose to Tagalise my profile, this came on:

bastus din tong Plurk na to a! OO na! NAG-IISA NA KUNG NAG-IISA! d naman ako malungkot! :P nakaka-Plurkey to!

jamond pill

finally i had my diamond peel from the voucher my sister gave me months ago at slimmer's world. i had this scheduled supposedly last friday but the rain stops me to go. i wanted to give the free vouchers (yes, free kaya patulan na diba? hehe..) to somebody else but i thought of the regret of giving them away.

then last tuesday, the slots are fully-booked so i had it re-scheduled last night. this was my very first facial treatment, aside from the regular cleanser rituals at home. a little pain when the apparatus scrapes my face but a bit i'm satisfied with the outcome. my face turned smoother and the bumps are gone. they applied some lotion after the scraping thing, by the way.

afterwards, the attendant and i had a little talk and offered me their promos. they have the gym membership and the skincare membership na tumataginting na 12k!!! but the promo price has been cut down to 6k (still very expensive for me) and they gave me an option that i may use my credit card. the thing is, i am not using my card(s) anymore to get out of debt. but for a 6k package which includes visits and treatments, i think that pretty much reasonable and cheap.

maybe i'll try the gym next time.

trabaho ala-MYX

while waiting for the staff to send me their finished subtitles, nag-trip muna akong gumawa ng mga ala-MYX videos. one LSS is No Air by jordin sparks and chris brown. ang saya! but i didn't get to subtitle yung mga kulot nila and screams. kung kaya nyong i-operate ang mga ito, mag-eenjoy din kayo.

from an episode of American Idol 7

at napag-tripan ko din yung 4 Minutes by madonna and JT. hahaha...
yan ang ginagawa ng mga busy. sana nga ganito nalang lagi gagawin ko, mas enjoy pako.

too bad you can't see my finished work dito. hirap kasi i-lay ung subtitles sa movie maker e.

works better with SoftNi Subtitler Suite.

Pinakamatakaw na Weekend... yet

last friday pag-uwi e wala palang dinner sa bahay. pero nakakain ako ng happy meal sa mcdo before umuwi. btw, i got the HuanHuan, JingJing and Nini toys. dahil bitin, ang salubong ni mama e dala na daw nya yung Palm Card from Pizza Hut na matagal nyang hinihingi sa kumare nya. and since mejo nawiwili ako sa pagpapa-deliver, ayun, nag-share kame ni mama sa bayad.

umorder muna kame ng Super Supreme at may libreng Pepperroni kasi nga may Palm Card kame.

nung Saturday naman pagkasimba namin sa Sta. Lucia e nag-dinner muna kame sa Mang Inasal. eat all you kanin!

Blog Event of the Month: Beijing Olympics

i have the fever. but i have a different approach to the Beijing Olympics. i love the event and the mascots too. but since i cannot go to Beijing to take some pictures myself, i kept myself busy looking for good images and save them to my computer. while others are counting the medals, i sit in front of my PC and do what i love, photoshop. at least i have enhanced the wallpapers available on the internet. but somehow i still want to add more effects and those native accents from the available wallpapers in the internet. i just want to share what i've done.

We've been faked (daw)

If you watched the Opening Ceremony on Friday night, chances are you said something like, "no way that's possible" at least once. It turns out you were right.

London's Telegraph newspaper reports that some of the fireworks which appeared over Beijing during the television broadcast of the Olympic Opening Ceremony were actually computer generated. But -- hold on -- it's not necessarily as bad as you think.

The faked fireworks were actually set-off at the stadium, but because of potential dangers in filming the display live from a helicopter, viewers at home were shown a pre-recorded, computer-generated shot. It sounds dishonest, but I'm not sure it's such a terrible thing.

The Opening Ceremony is, at its core, just one big performance. And isn't it accepted that some things might not be legit at a performance? The final torch bearer wasn't actually running around the top of the stadium, does the fact that everyone could figure that out make it any less impressive? It might have been unnecessarily deceptive, but the firework-faking isn't really that big of a deal. But, if I found out that the lighted-drum thing wasn't on the up and up, then we'll have problems, China.

SOURCE

* kelangan bang BIG DEAL ito? e ano ngayon kung fake? tapos na, nagawa na. marami din ang namangha. 'tong mga writer na 'to kala mo kung sinong mang-okray. ni hindi naman nila naisip ang ganyang presentation. dahil ba galing din sila sa mayamang bansa e ganun na lang nila maliitin ang ginawa ng China? the country has done it's best to give them a wonderful show and yet there's still these people who give us positive energy! heck! burn them with your fireworks, China!
