A Masterpiece on a Masterpiece: LG TVs Amplify the Viewing Experience with Advanced Display Technology at Art Fair Philippines 2025

LG Electronics, a proud exhibit partner, brought a fresh perspective to Art Fair Philippines 2025 with its cutting-edge TV displays. As one of the country’s premier art events, the fair continued to push creative boundaries in its new home at Ayala Triangle in Makati City last February 21-23, 2025. It offered an even more immersive space where art and technology merged, amplifying the creative storytelling of the best Philippine contemporary arts.
Beyond Displays: A Tech-Infused Art Experience
The stunning LG OLED C4 captivated art enthusiasts with its vibrant welcoming display upon entrance, while the LG StanbyME displayed interactive maps and essential event details, which served as a guide for a smooth and enriching journey through the fair.
At the heart of the tour was the TLYR Collective Gallery, a dynamic group of creatives redefining contemporary art by merging technology, culture, and creativity. From curating blockchain-based art to pioneering new approaches that seamlessly integrate digital and traditional mediums, they continue to push artistic boundaries. Artworks by dedMan, Ericson Calibo, James Fowler, and other visionary artists were brought to life on LG’s advanced OLED G4 and C4 screens, ensuring unmatched clarity, precision, and depth.

Their works embody a deep contemplation on life, merging technology and artistic expression to craft thought-provoking pieces. Through the fusion of reality and abstraction, a distinct visual language took shape, delving into personal conflicts and environmental observations. The theme of construction and decay evoked both fragility and transformation, layering each piece with profound meaning—an approach that LG OLED’s technology captured with exceptional detail and nuance.
Partnering with TLYR Collective this year, LG took digital and contemporary art appreciation to the next level, elevating each masterpiece with exceptional depth and vibrancy through its industry-leading OLED displays. The LG OLED C4, powered by the α9 AI Processor Gen7, refined every detail with transformative yet life-like precision, while AI Brightness Control adapted to the ambient lighting of the venue, ensuring crisp and clear visuals. Its Brightness Booster enhanced clarity with an improved Light Boosting Algorithm, and with self-lit OLED 4K technology, the colors appeared richer and more vibrant, staying true to the artist’s vision.

Meanwhile, the LG OLED G4, featuring a sleek One Wall Design, seamlessly integrated into the gallery space, putting the focus solely on the art. Equipped with the α11 AI Processor, AI Noise Reduction, and AI Super Resolution, it fine-tunes resolution which delivers breathtaking clarity. Its enhanced Light Boosting Algorithm and Light Control Architecture elevated the brightness of the artwork by 150% and made every detail stand out.
More LG TVs were positioned across key areas in Tower 1 and Tower 2, displaying an interactive map and providing essential event information to enhance the visitor experience.

LG provided two LG OLED Posé units for The Talks Hall, supporting Art Fair Philippines' mission to engage a wider audience in contemporary art through meaningful discussions. With its soft, rounded edges and muted beige fabric finish, Posé seamlessly blended into the space, creating an inviting setting for insightful conversations. Beyond a display, it transformed into an elegant frame, showcasing curated visuals that enriched the experience. Its self-lit OLED technology with Brightness Booster ensured vivid colors and fine details, enhancing presentations by esteemed speakers. Among the notable speakers were Dir. Jeremy Barns of the National Museum of the Philippines, who shared insights on Sustaining Heritage and Contemporary Legacies: A National Museum Perspective, and Ambeth Ocampo, who explored the life and work of Fernando Zóbel through archival images, offering a deeper understanding of the artist-patron’s intellectual curiosity and artistic journey.
Committed to expanding artistic engagement, Art Fair Philippines co-founders Trickie Colayco-Lopa, Lisa Ongpin-Periquet, and Geraldine “Dindin” Araneta continuously reimagine the fair, introducing fresh and innovative experiences each year. More than just a platform for contemporary art, their vision fosters meaningful connections between artists who are new to the scene and those with established careers. This year, the fair takes a broader scope by welcoming not only local artists but also international artists and galleries, creating a richer exchange of ideas and perspectives. Through thoughtful curation and dynamic collaborations, Art Fair Philippines continues to evolve, strengthening its role as a vital space for artistic dialogue and cultural appreciation.
Aligning with this vision, LG Philippines partners with Art Fair Philippines 2025 to further enrich artistic engagement and drive the evolution of art. "Seeing technology seamlessly complement artistic expression reaffirms our belief that innovation isn’t just about advancement—it’s about elevating experiences," said Mr. Nakhyun Seong, LG Philippines Managing Director. "We at LG Philippines are truly honored to be this year’s exhibit partner at Art Fair Philippines 2025. We’re grateful for the opportunity to empower artists, ensuring their vision is not only seen but truly felt—bringing greater depth, clarity, and emotion to every piece, and allowing audiences to connect with art in more meaningful ways."
Adding to the celebration of creativity, Jaime Gusto Zobel de Ayala, Chairman of Ayala Corporation, was also seen posing alongside the stunning LG OLED display.

As the world’s No.1 OLED TV brand for nearly 12 consecutive years, LG ensures that each masterpiece is displayed with unmatched depth, color accuracy, and brilliance—a masterpiece presented on a masterpiece, perfected by time-honed expertise. With a deep commitment to the arts, LG continues to empower creativity and innovation, providing advanced display technology that brings artistic visions to life. LG TV Elevates Art Fair Philippines 2024 with Cutting-Edge Display Technology

This February, Art Fair Philippines, the country's most esteemed showcase for modern and contemporary Filipino art, once again transformed The Link in Makati City into a beacon of artistic innovation. Celebrated for spotlighting the vibrant creativity of the Philippine visual arts scene, the 2024 edition of the fair extended its reach beyond borders, that welcomed an eclectic mix of local and international galleries. In this setting of artistic excellence, LG Electronics, celebrated at CES® 2024 for its innovations in display technology, plays a pivotal role through strategic collaborations, showcasing its dedication to the arts.
From February 16 to 18, attendees of Art Fair Philippines 2024 had an immersive experience where technology and creativity intersect. Art enthusiasts saw artworks by Eugenio Ampudia and Alvin Zafra mounted on LG's state-of-the-art QNED and OLED screens that offered unparalleled visual fidelity. This collaboration underscored LG's role in bridging the gap between traditional art forms and the digital age, ensuring every nuance and color envisioned by the artists is faithfully reproduced. Both LG QNED and OLED screens have been awarded as Best TVs of CES 2024.

LG's QNED and OLED technologies redefined the art viewing experience. The QNED screens, with their blend of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology, feature Mini LED backlighting for vibrant colors, deep blacks, and stunning contrast, enhanced by Precision Dimming Pro+ for unparalleled clarity. Each tiny LED packs into the screen for an explosion of detail and brightness, powered by the α9 Gen5 AI Processor 8K for sharp, lifelike images.

The LG OLED evo screens take visuals to the next level with self-lit pixels that deliver perfect blacks and infinite contrast, ensuring every artwork was shown in its true colors. Brightness Booster, alongside the α9 Gen 5 AI processor, amplifies luminance by up to 20%, while Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro adjusts thousands of screen blocks for more vivid, accurate HDR. Together, LG's QNED and OLED screens offered an immersive, detailed, and vibrant viewing experience that brought digital art to life like never before.
Further elevating the digital art experience, the 7th floor of the fair played host to a dynamic showcase of digital, crypto, and new media artworks, displayed on massive LG QNED and OLED screens. “ArtFairPH/Projects will be located on the 7th floor. The layout will immediately feel different from the gallery floors, and will encourage a sense of discovery. For the first time, we will have quite a few foreign artists presenting for Projects,” Art Fair Philippines’ Lisa Periquet shared. This initiative not only amplified the visibility of digital artists but also illustrated LG's dedication to supporting innovative art mediums that resonate with the tech-savvy and crypto-curious audience. LG's innovative screens also boast the versatility to be installed vertically, catering perfectly to the unique aspect ratios and orientations that contemporary digital artworks often require.

In addition to supporting visual art displays, LG's cutting-edge OLED screens played a crucial role in the fair's educational and cinematic endeavors. The Talks section, an integral part of Art Fair Philippines’ mission to expand art audiences, featured LG OLED screens, which enhanced presentations and discussions with their superior picture quality. Among the projects using LG screens was from Data, an online commissioning platform for artists working with digital media founded by David Gryn. Another work was Be a Tree Now!, a participatory movement that responds to the call for climate justice. The project’s result was a moving multiple-exposure image that resembled a tree’s canopy. Similarly, the “speakeasy” area on the roof deck utilized LG OLED TVs, which provided an exceptional viewing experience that complemented the artistic and narrative depth of the discussions. The space, named NO SHOWING and spearheaded by filmmaker Moira Lang, served as a hangout and breathing space for guests at the fair.

LG's involvement in Art Fair Philippines 2024 was a testament to the brand's belief in the power of art and technology to inspire and engage. "Our partnership with Art Fair Philippines is rooted in a shared vision to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation," stated by LG PH Managing Director Nakhyun Seong. "By integrating our advanced display technologies into this celebrated event, we aim to create unforgettable experiences for art enthusiasts and introduce new dimensions to viewing and appreciating art."

As Art Fair Philippines 2024 showcased the best in Philippine modern and contemporary art, LG Electronics stood at the forefront of this artistic endeavor, bridging the gap between technology and creativity. Visitors to the fair witnessed a fusion of artistic brilliance and technological excellence, marking another milestone in the country's flourishing art scene.

LG OLED TVs Bring Art to Life in Art Fair Philippines 2023

The 2023 edition of the much awaited Art Fair Philippines showcased a remarkable display of creativity from various artists, both local and international. It was a veritable feast for the senses as artworks of different styles and mediums were presented. For this year, a new section was introduced that focuses on digital media, work that incorporates and engages with computer technology, animation, virtual or augmented reality, the metaverse, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Among the artists featured were Mark Inducil and Skye Nicolas, whose unique approach to art caught the attention of many visitors.

What made Inducil and Nicolas' work stand out was their use of LG TVs as their canvas. The two artists took advantage of the sleek and modern design of LG TVs to create their unique pieces.

Mark Inducil, a multimedia artist, crafts surrealistic and dreamlike portraits and landscapes, heavily textured and rich in deep, vibrant hues. He presented a series dubbed Homecoming, which reflects his own psyche, a visual manifestation of his personal experiences and trauma. On the other hand, Skye Nicolas's showcased works from his Walkman Series, a commemoration of music’s vigor, a powerful take on youth culture of a certain era. The idea and substance of Nicolas’ works lean heavily towards nostalgia, belongingness, explorations, and experiments on pop culture. They transmit data from the artist to the receiver: a burgeoning garden of emotions, memories, and creative intention.
The use of technology in art is not new, but the way in which Inducil and Nicolas integrated LG TVs into their work was innovative and refreshing. By using a modern and functional object like a TV, they were able to create something that was both visually stunning and intellectually stimulating. LG TVs are fast becoming the canvas of choice to present digital artworks. A lot of features and technological advances work together to provide a stunning display. LG's α9 Gen 5 AI Processor enhances objects in the foreground and background to add natural depth, and makes colors spectacularly vivid yet accurate. With no backlight to dull their impact,self-lit pixels achieve the deepest blacks for crisp contrast in every light. Visuals are more defined, so you can make out subtle details your eyes usually miss. You also get to see every pixel of detail. The all-new Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro goes deeper to improve the picture. Previously, it elevated just the frames. Now, the technique hones in on 5000 blocks across the screen for more vivid HDR down to each last detail. And of course, the design also plays an integral part. With narrow bezels, you get fully immersed in the picture with nothing to distract your view. The unbelievably slim design fits seamlessly into your home or gallery.

The display of Inducil and Nicolas's work at Art Fair Philippines was a testament to the limitless possibilities of art. It showed that art can be created using any medium or platform, and that technology can be used to enhance the creative process. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect to see more artists exploring new and exciting ways to create art that engages and inspires.
