Nicole Laurel Set to Launch "Mind Over Matter" on January 30

Multi-talented and multi-awarded artist, singer/composer Nicole Laurel Asensio is all set to launch "Mind Over Matter"; a musical concoction comprised of three vibrant original compositions that seep into the consciousness of a wandering psyche aching for atonement and acceptance.
The launch date is on January 26, 2024 on all listening platforms. The launch event will be on January 30, 2024 at 19 East located on East Service Road. With a special guest performance by ang Bagong Luto ni Enriquez and Iwi Laurel. Entrance is 500 pesos.
The EP title “Matter Over Mind” is a play on the popular saying “Mind over matter” — the reversal of the words connotes that keeping one’s head up through the struggles is often easier said than done and sometimes we need to come undone and be honest with how we feel before picking up the pieces and moving on… "As we are blessed with a brand new year, I am reminded of what it took to get to this point, the hardships, failures and finding the guts to keep going,’ Nicole Laurel Asensio said. Thematically, “Matter Over Mind” also celebrates the resilience of human souls that have experienced hurt, God’s grace and the metamorphosis of “turning one’s scars into stars.”
The EP opens with “Comprehend,” a silky Neo-soul influenced tune with traces of modern and classic Rnb. It is written from the point of view of re-watching your life as a movie and seeing how each character either leaves or lingers through the seasons. The lyrical expressions and play on words are both poignant and poetic as they unfold the multi-layered process of healing from failed relationships. Although the lyrics might be bittersweet, most of the nectar is in the smooth arrangement that features thick vocal sections and an all saxophone section over a vibe-y beat.

“Vibecheck” is a sonic palette cleanser, a short and sweet reminder to check up on your loved ones. The chords and melody willingly settle in a cradle of gospel influences. Sung by Nicole Asensio, Kevin Yadao and Gabe Dandan, the short in-betweener is reminiscent of friends touching base and reminding each other not to worry because everything will eventually work out.

To complete the concoction “Get it Right” is an English-Tagalog uptempo track that evokes funk, soul and jazz influences within its intricacies. Effervescent and light as it may be at first listen, it is also equally full-bodied as It sings of hidden tears and silent struggles hidden behind laughter and the longing to redeem oneself. The instrumentation is quite the indulgent thrill featuring a full live brass section, soulful piano and rhodes licks, a bouncy backbeat and a plush vocal section.

CREATIONS, SENSATIONS and SENSIBILITIES

Nicole Asensio and Gabe Dandan’s writing tandem has proven prolific as this collection of tracks were all born out of impromptu jams caught on record.

“This collection of songs all began with impromptu jams. Nicole, me and our drummer Nigel Norris (who is currently in Europe) influences of artists we admire (like Steely Dan, Robert Glasper and Erykah Badu) set the tone for the initial jam session. We recorded the outcome in Southbay studio and Nicole developed her top-line ideas into lyrics and melodies, and later recorded her vocals with the help of recording engineer Mikel Miller. The arrangement blossomed as we would revisit each track daily and see what we could add or subtract. Because the chordal structure has its quirks and complexities, it was important to pay attention to detail. Renowned saxophone player Michael Guevarra did the horns arrangement for “Get it Right” and I did an impromptu arrangement alongside saxophone player Joeffrey Pangilinan for “Comprehend” “Vibecheck” was written in less than an hour. Nicole then sent it to our friend Kevin Yadao for additional vocals.” - Gabe Dandan
“The vocal arrangements where done in spare minutes between the busy gig season and late night production sessions. Gabe and I both agreed to give the harmonies unique colours to add a dose of something different in what may at first seem familiar sonically.” - Nicole Laurel Asensio

“Mixing and Mastering the EP was for me the most meticulous part, I really felt that this EP was closer to my heart than many projects I have had the pleasure of producing so I wanted to mix and master it myself, even if I was new to the craft.

Nicole trusted me and obliged, she was also there for every step and adjustment, I think we work well together, not just as co-writers, but for the entire production and post-production process.” -Gabe Dandan

“For a number of years now, my musical inclination has been a blend of old and new, classic and current. I feel that sticking to one kind of sound or genre isn’t really for me, I like to create what feels right in that moment in time and in that particular frame of mind while still leaving something familiar, perhaps in the vocal interpretation and inflections. and I feel like Gabe has similar sensibilities.

Like Gabe, my favourite thrill is also creating songs from impromptu jams, this to me is priceless, the amalgamation of time, place, emotion and taste coming together.” - Nicole Laurel Asensio

“Timelessness is more appealing to me than trends, It is an exciting process to see how we can make our own version of the music we grew up liking. Traces of funk, Neo-soul, RnB, jazz and gospel are evident throughout the songs, but perhaps what makes its flavour unique is savouring the the thematic choices and nuances that unfold with each tune.” - Gabe Dandan

“This year I feel like a lot of pent up songs and stories need to be told, while the inspiration is at a fever pitch, it’s important to express, produce, create and grow from each artistic pursuit. I am looking forward to releasing more songs, perhaps in “suites” of two, three or more songs at a time to explore more themes. God willing, there will be a full album to look forward to in the coming months too.” Till then I am grateful for every tidbit of music that comes my way I greatly appreciate every person that lends their ears to the stories we tell and will continue to create for as long as I can. - Nicole Laurel Asensio

“Yes! A full album! One thing I look forward to is how these songs are built from on-the-spot writing, it is an exercise in keeping an open mind and being adaptable to where the process takes you. We wrote a number of songs inside the recording studios, and it is perhaps an unusual process, but one we both have learned to embrace. Surprising ourselves and others with the musical fruit of impromptu sessions. I am grateful to scratch the surface of possibilities with “Matter Over Mind” and looking forward to the flow of creativity to come.” - Gabe Dandan

Nicole Laurel-Asensio talks about WHAT MATTERS MOST

In an imperfect world where friendships are fleeting, where money slips though our fingers faster than we can count it, when we often run out of time right before we reach the top of the climb, We are reminded to celebrate the things and people that matter most … while we still can.

I see the little changes around me- friends that come and go, loves and losses and the lessons they bring, growing pains that come with each season… telling me to start over. As I take another trip around the sun, I would like to take this time to celebrate WHAT MATTERS MOST — all of you. This song is a little birthday treat to everyone who has remained in my life and inspired me to continue making music.

“What Matters Most” was written with sleepless eyes in the midst of a hot summer sunrise after wrapping up another production session. I recall going down the media rabbit hole to de-brief from another song we had just finished. Producer Gabe Dandan and I found ourselves immersed in the soundtrack of the film “Cadillac Records” featuring blues greats such as Etta James, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.

“The inspiration for ‘What Matters Most’ was mostly quartet music from the 50s-60s. Nicole’s vocal versatility spans many styles and genres of music but I think she sounds at home and authentic in this setting.”

Sometimes you just have to let songs that draw inspirations from classic roots retain that classic sound. “The main focus of the simple no nonsense arrangement was to keep the song era-accurate with modern treatment and post production.”

“No doubt “What Matters Most” is a love song… I wanted to carve a little a space in time where I could freely celebrate love and the astronomical feeling of being loved through and through. I had these lyrics and a simple melody for this song scribbled somewhere for weeks before. Bits and pieces of the song were scattered in lost minutes between production sessions of other songs. I had also casually jammed versions of this theme with some friends before but it was after revisiting the blues greats that the song and lyrics took its final form. We finished recording the demo at 7:30am and for the sake of staying loyal to the song’s theme…. went out for a stack of celebratory pancakes.” - Nicole

“Working with Nicole is smooth because our writing chemistry is instant and natural, we have a dynamic where we can both freely express ourselves and understand our creative palettes and processes, this is also why we get along so well. She usually begins by humming a melody, then I make chords that work with it and we build it up from there.” - Gabe Gabe and I called Dan Gil (veteran producer and composer) to join in and take over keys recording duties, Gavino Sabalburo’s drums and Timpani recordings from Marvin Querido and ONQ studio made for a wonderful companionship and Gabe took over bass and guitar duties. Veteran engineer Angee Rozul took over tracking duties. It was a no-frills recording with simple instrumentation laced with incessant laughter and a cheerful round of drinks afterwards. There were times I was tempted to add a horns section or back-up vocals, but this time around I think the simplicity was needed. I was convinced by my co-musicians to keep it simple, light and happy. I probably have a lot of things to ‘hugot’ about…. and yes I have been writing about that too… Pero ayoko muna humugot… this isn’t the song for it… saka na ‘yan…. Let’s just stay in love for a little while… kahit mga five-ish minutes lang and celebrate the things that matter most.

“There wasn’t much post production to be done, at most it was just choosing from ad-lib takes and minimal curing for some instruments. Nicole does all her vocal comp-ing in her home studio. When the recording was done we sent it to Mr. Waxie G. Joaquin to mix and master the track and bring it to life.” - Gabe Waxified Sound Production indeed brought the sound back to that retro era with their post production and spacial audio experience. The track was mixed and mastered in Dolby Atmos by: Waxie G. Joaquin of Waxiefied Sound Production.

“What Matters Most.” is a sonic ride back in time to a 60s diner in a dreamy, creamy-white Cadillac. This five minute track encapsulates that nostalgic feeling of falling freely in love— no regrets, no holding back. A classic yet crispy new take on no-nonsense blues. Nicole's one-of-a-kind vocals are a red-hot lipstick stain on a tall strawberry milkshake- tastefully showcased with the perfect balance of grit, grease, soulfulness and vulnerability while delectably dripping over the band's perfectly ripened musical sensibilities and honest expression—the cherry on top.

“In the coming months you can definitely expect more music in a spectrum of different styles and stories, We enjoy creating with different musicians, so each song is a treat, making music is our favourite thing to do.” - Gabe

There are countless songs in progress as of today, it’s a matter of staying in love with the process and putting in the work to release each one into the world. patience, trust, time are all part of it, but staying in love with the process is what I am learning is perhaps the most important part. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of my life and music journey thus far. I am grateful for you all and for all the God given chances to make music for you. Let’s celebrate love and make every minute matter with the ones who matter most.

The music video is set to be released mid July with a double music video launch event (Nicole is set to launch another secret music video) The event is open to public and will be held at 9pm in Salon De Ning, Manila Peninsula Hotel on August 1, 2023. More details will be announced in her social media accounts: Nicole Laurel Asensio (FB) and @nicoleasensio (IG)

Pinoy classical singer talks about his training and winning WCOPA Grand Championship

From a shy boy to a frequent singing contestant in various barangays, citywide competitions to province-wide, and finally, on the world stage, Cristiani Rebada has proven that he is “called to sing” for life.
According to Rebada, “I started singing even before I went to Kindergarten. According to my parents, I mimicked songs, and to their surprise, I was in tune.

“I started singing in our local church (in my elementary years), but I was too shy to sing in any competitions. My dad enrolled me in the Bel Canto School Of Music for voice lessons.”
He even mentioned that [at first], his dad’s decision was against his will.

“My dad still pushed me to do it because he believed in me. After a few months of training, I finally gained the self-confidence to join some competitions.”

Music as his mission.

The confidence he got from his singing lessons, he joined his first singing competition.

“I was still in sixth grade. I was shy but still managed to do it and got first place. I think that validates that I have a talent for singing.”

Rebada is the epitome of what Ralph Waldo Emerson described as an excellent artist, “Every artist was first an amateur.”

For him, his first mentor was his father.

“He discovered that I have the gift of singing. He encouraged me to sing and even bought cassette tapes for my music. He then enrolled me in voice lessons at Bel Canto School of Music in our place.

He engaged in different competitions and learned a lot from experience. The seeds planted in him have flourished as he opted to pursue Music at Silliman University in Dumaguete City.

“It was where I got my degree in Music and majored in Voice.”

Classically trained, but open to exploring more about music.

“I’m usually into mellow love songs, but since I am a classically trained singer, I prefer crossover, where my voice fits, but I’m open to different genres.”

He pursued his passion for classical music by joining the Philippine Opera Company as one of the artists for Ang Bagong Harana. He also taught voice lessons at the music company.

As a singer, he doesn’t limit himself to one genre, thus he wants to embrace more.

He joined the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) Team Philippines in 2017, and he went home with six medals as an industrial awardee (two gold medals as a Grand Finalist and for Opera, three silvers for Broadway, Gospel, and Open, and a bronze for Pop). He also earned the Industry award, a glass globe, and a plaque as the division winner for Opera, and two major awards–the glass star trophy as the Senior Grand Champion Vocalist of the World, and the diamond glass trophy as the Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World.

Like Jed Madela, the first Filipino to win the WCOPA title, the competition has opened doors for him.

His dream of getting validation for all the hard work he has put into his singing–the award gave him more reason to thrive and excel in his chosen craft.

“First of all, God gave me this talent to glorify Him, to praise and worship His name.”

What Fuels His Passion for Music?

Apart from God, he considers his family as his inspiration.

“I would like to bring joy and happiness to them, who sacrificed a lot to give me a brighter future.”

Lou Holtz‘s words hold true to who Rebada is–that talent determines what one can do.

It is his motivation that determined how much he is willing to do. His attitude determined how well he did with the gift entrusted to him by God.

The awards or recognitions he earned the ones at the 29th Asia-Pacific Excellence 2017 Awards, Asian Achiever Awardee 2017 as an Outstanding Asian Young Performer, and the 2017 Asian Entertainer Awardee as an Outstanding Young Performing Artist–are some of those that pushed him to do better and excel.

His recent awards were the 2022 Gawad Amerika Awardee as a Classical Crossover Artist of the Year and the 2022 Spotlight Awardee as Best Classical Artist.

Today, he is part of Fil-Trio with LA Master Balladeer Kenneth Laurente and Broadway star Lyndon Apostol.

On September 29 of last year, Rebada’s debut single, Ikaw pa rin got released and streamed on Spotify and other online streaming platforms.
He’s proud Negrense from Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. His musical influences are the multi-national classical crossover vocal group Il Divo, the World’s Most Beloved Tenor Andrea Bocelli, the Italian operatic tenor Luciano Pavarotti, and a Spanish opera singer, conductor, and arts administrator Plácido Domingo. Among the Filipino singer-performers, he appreciates Gary Valenciano, Jaya, Lani Misalucha, and Jed Madela.

“I want them to remember me as an inspiration,” was his prompt response when asked what he envisioned himself as a singer-performer.

“That talent is just secondary, and good character will come first. Respect our differences. Spread love, peace, and hope by creating music. Music is the language of the soul. Whatever status in life we are in, the color of our skin, and our beliefs in life–we speak the same language through music.”

Nicole Laurel-Asensio tells us about the forbidden things

Last week, I received a very special package from Nicole Laurel-Asensio and it got me intrigued about her new single. The gift was a jewelry box with a necklace with gold and silver handcuffs. But what caught my curiosity was Nicole was giving us a hint of her next single, "Bawal."

Bakit nga ba masarap kapag bawal?

It had been a little while since noted multi-talented Nicole Laurel got back in the recording cycle. She didn’t stop writing new songs. In fact, there are dozens in progress. For this upcoming single "BAWAL" she collaborated with a co-musician she had met nearly 9 years ago but never really had the opportunity to write with— guitarist/ multi-instrumentalist Gabe Dandan. During an impromptu jam, he put down the guitar and began playing keys. Nicole began humming instantaneous melody and lyrics— the initial songwriting for “Bawal” was done in about 30 minutes.

"This is one of the simplest lyrical expressions I have published, nothing poetic here, just a sentiment revolving around the quintessential question: “Bakit masarap kapag bawal?” It was one of those instances na halos sabay lumabas yung lyrics and melody, and halos tapos na yung song form in the first session. I was led into the song by the chord choices. The song is a simple, slow, soulful blend of sultriness and the melancholy of desiring something you can’t have," Nicole noted.
The "Bawal" team of the best musicians in today’s industry pooled their creative energies at Wildgrass studios for tracking.

Otep Concepcion (Drums),
Rommel Dela Cruz (Bass)
Nikko Rivera (Keys)
Ted Amper (Cello)
Lester Sorilla (Trumpet)
Gabe Dandan (Producer, Guitar, Percussions, Backup Vocals)
Mike Luis (Vocal arranger, Backup Vocals)

The world class post production team are mixing engineer Angee Rozul then mixed and mastered in Dolby Atmos by: Waxified Sound Production.

Gabe Dandan on writing with Nicole Laurel Asensio:
“I like working with Nicole because I am inclined towards improvisation-style writing, it brings out the best in my playing and musical choices, Nicole encourages that environment. Her brain is like a factory for making lyrics, the workflow and is seamless and that doesn’t always happen with everyone.”

On Producing the track with the “Nyors”
“That was pretty scary, I went early, not just to get good parking, but also to calm my nerves before the guys arrived. When they all arrived it went pretty smoothly, I knew what I wanted to do, but these guys are all really really good, so at first I didn’t feel like I was in the position to tell them what to do, in fact I didn’t have to say much just a little guiding but they’re the best so they just did their thing. It was a fun process. Post production was easy and efficient, Nicole is very honest, she makes sure to tell me what she wants while we’re still in the process and not when everything is already done and I appreciate that.”

“Bawal” will definitely take all of us along with the memories of countless chases, losses, painful lessons, maybes, possibilities and loves that could have been.

More songs are birthing from Nicole Laurel Asensio, but for now she just needed to publish at least one to ignite the process again.

“Bawal” is the first of many to hit the studio.
More can definitely be expected in 2023.

Nicole finally notes: “PUWEDE”

"The beautiful thing about songwriting is - technically, walang bawal… you can write about anything, anyone and everything… you can use any note, rhythm, topic, lyric that reflects your soul and sentiment… Marami ngang bawal, ngunit, sa paglikha… lahat pwede. This is why creativity proves to be my greatest purpose and escape all in one, theres no telling where the creative chase will lead, but one thing is for sure, the creative chase is never futile, and always “masarap.”

“One last listen… before I turn off the speakers.

The room is quiet now….
Save for the crackling sound of chicharon.
So, bakit nga ba masarap kapag bawal?”

BAWAL is Produced by: Gabe Dandan / Nicole Laurel Asensio
Executive Produced by: Nicole Laurel Asensio
Mix and Mastered in Dolby Atmos by Waxified Sound Production
Distributed by: Warner Music Philippines

“Christmas Without You” lyrics - Nicole Laurel-Asensio

When was the last time
I saw you?
Was it April?
Or June? Or May?
I can’t believe a year went by
and not a single day
I don’t think about you
by my side.
It’s getting cold outside

Waiting for a sign
on the darkest night
A single star burns bright
I’ll light another candle coz it’s
Christmas time
I hear the sleighbells chime
And it reminds me
Of your misty eyes
When you waved goodbye
and you told me:
“Baby it ain’t Christmas time without you.”
Pulling out the tinsel
and wrappers
Hanging stockings up
the way you like
I’m thinking of you tonight
Have you been
naughty or nice?
Should i wait up
by the fireside?
On the busy streets
Where midnight lovers meet
Wherever you may be
Know that your heart’s with me
I’ll leave the mistletoe up coz
It’s Christmas time
I hear the sleighbells chime
And it reminds me
Of your misty eyes
When you waved goodbye
and you told me:
“Baby it ain’t Christmas time without you.”
Baby it ain’t Christmas time without you!
baby, it ain’t Christmas time without you!
And I’ve been really tryin’ to
Shake off all the blues
And I still do some things the way we used to do, ooh oooh
‘coz I miss you—I miss the way we used to kiss forever,
Mix & Match our Sweaters
All I really wish for is to see you once again
Baby, you know it ain’t Christmas without you
Baby ah, it ain’t Christmas without you
Baby, Oh I Can’t imagine Christmas without you.

In her story, Nicole narrates the colorful night life when all the flickering neon lights illuminate the fun and vibrant story of each person who wander in the streets of Poblacion. Who would forget the loud sounds, lingering smoke and intoxicating drinks that help us escape from the monotonous and tiring days of hard labor? Nicole Laurel-Asensio writes her story of meeting people, enjoy a time of happiness or even unfortunate events. That what makes Poblacion an interesting spot and Montmartre of Makati.

Poblacion combines jazz, big-band music and maybe hard rock, thanks to the collaboration with Chito Miranda and AMP Big-band which Nicole had drawn inspiration to. Coming also this week is a 1920s or so themed music video with no other than legendary Ms Cherie Gil. Watch the making of the song and music video below:

The Kundiman Party comes into a new home this weekend

Floy Quintos' play The Kundiman Party will be performing for a limited run at the PETA Theater Center starting May 24 to June 2 2019. This acclaimed Filipino play also brings back majority of the stellar cast to give a relevant and crucial performance on national issues seaming modern topics that can bind old schoolers and millennials alike.
CB Garrucho has opened the doors of PETA Theater Center to UP Playwright's play in continuing the advocacy in providing audiences narratives to keep the nationalism alive and to cement what the Philippine Educational Theater Association stands for. Just in time after the mid-term elections, they believe that it will be another chapter of struggle in fighting national dignity.
The cast of The Kundiman Party still includes most of the ensemble led by Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino as Maestra Adela, a reclusive voice teacher whose latent nationalism is awakened. Together with Frances Makil-Ignacio, Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Jenny Jamora and Missy Maramara as Adela's close circle of Titas, the cast painted a portrait of contemporary Pinoy society that was both poignant as well as wildly entertaining.

Dexter Santos still directs The Kundiman Party in PETA and joined by talented artists who reprise their roles: Miah Canton as Antoinette, Rica Nepomuceno as Melissa. Watch their videos below as they sing kundiman songs in the play. Some songs are arranged by National Artist for Music, Mr. Ryan Cayabyab.

Newcomers such as Gabriel Paguirigan makes his acting debut as Ludwig, who has a lot of achievements on his plate -- including bagging the first prize in the NAMCYA 2011 competition and winning again in 2015 in the Senior division. Boo Gabunada (Cyrano, Mula sa Buwan and Emman, Ang Huling El Bimbo) plays the young activist Bobby Valderama. Nonie Buencamino is also in the play as Sen. Juancho Valderama who will confront in a scene with his wife, Ms. Shamaine.

The original creative team of The Kundiman Party is a reunion of playwright Floy Quintos and director Dexter M. Santos. Production design by Mitoy Sta.Ana, Krina Cayabyab as the musical designer, Meliton Roxas (Lights Designer), Nour Houshmand (Asst Director), Io Balanon (Technical Director) and Steven Tansiongco (Video & Graphics Designer).

I can listen to Spotify clearly with Cloudfone

I listen to Spotify everyday and it's really convenient when you have your mobile phone beside you. It's easy to browse for my favorite tunes and I use it while commuting, while working and even when I go to sleep. Spotify gives me the best playlist for your every mood with just a touch of a button. I'm a super fan.

Then my first Android phone was a Cloudfone. And now Cloudfone makes Spotify available in its latest models CloudFone Thrill 500x, CloudFone Thrill 500x+, Cloudpad 702q. All these products have Panorama and High Dynamic Range (HDR) modes, Smile Detection, Voice Command controls, Zero Shutter Delay, and high-def video recording. You can now capture those special, stunning, captivating and wacky moments and memories on the street or just about anywhere in full, vivid and colorful detail—and without missing a beat. When I want great phone functionality at an affordable price, I can recommend Cloudfone models.
The partnership between CloudFone and Spotify is definitely one that will rock the Philippine market for smartphones and tablets, an endeavor that will endear CloudFone and Spotify closer to the hearts of its Filipino consumers. We can all expect more industry-shaking efforts to come from this young company in the very near future, which are all part of its vision to further grow as a responsible and innovative business that aspires to make technology within every Filipino’s reach.

Orange Magazine TV gives back on 5th anniversary

Good friend in the blogging universe, Jeman Villanueva, proudly celebrates Orange Magazine TV's 5th anniversary with fellow bloggers and industry friends at the World Vision Philippines office on July 1. I am thankful to be part of this small but meaningful gathering with everyone that co-celebrated with him on this special occasion, and took pleasure with a few games and entertainment.
His blog, Orange Magazine TV is a collection on different topics from lifestyle to entertainment, opinion and more and I admired the story behind the success of this journal. His dedication has definitely pulled off and physically shows what it is today.

During the event, there were raffles and entertainment of course. One of the highlights was seeing local rap artist, Gloc9 performing a duet with Lira Bermudez entitled Takipsilim, which has an original interpretation with Regine Velasquez.

Testing my own LOUDBASSTARD amplifier

It is a great way to end 2014 winning some promos I joined online. It was a very musical December when I saw Ely Buendia's concert in Antipolo and to cap off, I won Manila Concert Junkies' online giveaway with a Loudbasstard Bamboo amplifier! I claimed it last night and tried my new gadget baby to the test.
Enclosed in a bio case that is just smaller than a shoe box, I cannot imagine that this thing is huge, about a foot in length. All natural and very unique, I also like its blue green paint. Kudos to the people of Cebu for making this  unique accessory for all music lovers like me.

Testing, the difference from playing music straight from the phone and with a Loudbasstard is quite noticeable. The sound is louder and more pleasant. I can't wait to listen with it with nature sounds via Spotify.

For more info about Loudbasstard, you can check their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/loudbasstardTM. Again, thank you Manila Concert Junkies for this New Year gift.
