DESPICABLE ME 4 movie review

Recently got invited to the VIP screening of Despicable Me 4 and I was very excited to see the minions again and Gru's (Steve Carell) recent adventure. This time, juggling his way into fatherhood with his family and the most adorable baby, his junior.
The film starts with a school reunion — the Lycée Pas Bon School of Villainy Class of '85 — where Gru (Steve Carell) encounters an old rival, Maxime le Mal (Will Ferrell), a French-accented insect-obsessed villain. An old time beef escalated that threatened Gru and his family's safety which AVL came into rescue.
While meeting new neighbors is a major adjustment with Gru and the girls while taking his cover from Maxime, a handful of minions are getting a major upgrade in AVL. There's a new line up of super minions that for sure you'll add to your collection. Aligned with Marvel superpowers, these minions are up to save Gru and his family. DM4 presents Gru in a more vulnerable guy than an unruly villain.
Aside from Maxine, Gru has established another villain with no other than their school principal which is a total delight for us viewers. A sinister grandma is maybe what we needed for a more comic relief than with the minions entertaining us with their usual antics.

Despicable Me 4 is also a grand reunion of Gru's nemeses which you will find at the end of the movie. A fun closing to the installment. It's also a great treat to the fans to see them all in one screen enjoying their life in jail. Despicable Me 4 puts family as a major support in your background and Gru shows that he is another person on the inside and willing to sacrifice for the safety of his family.

Despicable Me 4 is now showing in theaters.

Illumination, the maker of Minions and Despicable Me series, released the trailer of the beloved fable-talent search entitled Sing 2 which is scheduled to be released this Christmas.

The trailer begins with a lemur's creepy performance that made producer Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale) freak out as he sets up a new show. In their dedication to being included in the new show, Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and his friends must find and persuade a reclusive rock star Clay Calloway (Bono) to join them for a grand opening act. Watch the trailer below featuring the covers of the songs by Alicia Keys (Girl on Fire), U2 (I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For), Eminem (My Name Is) and more.

Cast composed of Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly and Nick Kroll returns to voice the gang of Rosita, Meena, Ash, Gunter, Johnny and joined by Halsey (Porsha Crystal), Pharrell (Alfonso), Nick Offerman, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, and Chelsea Peretti.

DESPICABLE ME 3 movie review

What's not to love about Despicable Me 3? The minions, Lucy and the girls are with Gru redefine his nature as a true villain as he traces his roots meeting the long lost twin brother Dru. Together they will bring down a heist caused by an 80s bad boy Balthazar Bratt. Despicable Me 3 opens in theaters June 14.
Prepare for dated laugh as it was more humorous for the adults than for the kids. Watching it last night had more appeal to the adults with the 80s-themed music and inserts that will transport you through time. Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker) makes your imaginations into reality with all the gigantic robots that try to destroy entire cities with its laser eyebeams -- just like in the old Japanese shows.
Margo is probably going through puberty. Agnes still dreams of unicorns are true and her adorable cheeks still captures the hearts of every one. Edith is somewhere in between that will support any of her sisters but still has a huge chunk of childhood in her. Good that there's Lucy to watch over them, coping with the whole parenting thing that relates to all first time mothers undergoing the process.

Of couse, we don't forget he minions now led by a new character, Mel, who initiated a union against Gru as they missed being bad and helping Gru in heists. The potatoes found themselves in new experiences and soon they'll discover they can survive without a boss but still returns to him because they just missed him.
Gru and Dru finding each other will just connect it to the feels of having a sibling. An adjustment period was just too short since they still had their villainous blood in them that had bonded them right there and then. Somehow the movie fails to give emotional connection on this aspect as you can only tune in to resolving the problem caused by Balthazar.
