SUCKER PUNCH movie review

all she wanted was freedom. WARNING: there might be a lot of spoilers here.

SUCKER PUNCH tells the story of a young girl named Babydoll (Emily Browning) who was imprisoned and exploited for the benefits of the caretaker as a dancer. Babydoll had a darker past after her mother died and she was forced to be caged in a mental facility by her stepfather who is in greed of the property that her mother left her. almost losing everything she had, it didn't stop her to find ways to get out of her problem. instead, her imaginations helped her in order to collect the things she need to escape. she is further encouraged by 4 more girls inside the facility, Rocket (Jena Malone), Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Amber (Jamie Chung), and Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens) and together in their imaginations, they successfully collected all the items that they need. they are really strong girls that give out kick-ass moves.

sad that Babydoll didn't get the chance to get out of the prison. and others had been killed. but the whole movie is visually nice with that "300" feel and other stuff. Legendary Pictures is making a forte in these type of films. and the treatment is very close to 3D execution.

here are the technical aspects: i also love the soundtrack. that hard-core rock and roll music, perfect for the wildest adventures of the girls. some scenes may contain very sexy costumes but not obscene so you can watch it with your kids, provided they will be guided accordingly. the lesson, be determined to reach your goal and that goal is finding yourself.

Sucker Punch will be in theaters March 25 distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures International. also catch it on IMAX theaters.
