Sergei Kravinoff becomes "Kraven the Hunter" in bloody new vignette

“This is Sergei Kravinoff becoming Kraven,” actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson talks about his character’s journey into becoming the iconic villain, and his own adventures of stunts and training in the “Making of a Villain” vignette from Kraven the Hunter.
Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.

Watch the redband vignette:

“I’m so lucky I get to do the stunts. Old school, real, raw, barefoot running through the streets of London. Doing flips and running off the wall, because you needed to have that kind of authenticity,” Taylor-Johnson continues. “He’s [Kraven’s] not a superhero. He’s a man who’s been trained and is a skilled hunter and killer.”

Director J.C. Chandor also weighs in on the tragic background of Kraven: “There was some element of bloodlust that he [Kraven] seems to love,” Chandor says. “There was a justification for it, and that feels good. But he is also this very inconsistent, ethically compromised individual, but yet, still, you’re rooting for him.”

Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe.

Opening in Philippine cinemas on December 11, Kraven the Hunter is distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International. Connect with the hashtag #KravenTheHunter

Watch the first trailer of new Marvel Studios series, She-Hulk

A new superhero is getting pumped to fight for justice and she'll share her story this August.
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is about Jennifer Walters who transforms herself into a muscular humanoid just like her Avenger cousin, Bruce Banner, and deals to balance her personal life while fighting injustices as She-Hulk.

Coming in as the new super hero, she could have been an Avenger but she regarded that it's only for "billionaires, narcissists or even orphans of some sort" which is kind of funny pertaining to previous Avengers.

Watch the newly released trailer below:

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law includes cast Tatiana Maslany (Jennifer Walters), Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner, Jameela Jamil as Titania, Tim Roth as Abomination, Renee Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, Josh Segarra and more.

Below are still images captured from the trailer:

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law streams exclusively on Disney+ this August.

Thor: Love and Thunder teaser trailer released

Something to look forward to in July is the next chapter in the Asgardian god's life in Thor: Love and Thunder. We're still in the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I'm getting hyped for this release.

After Avengers: Endgame, Thor wanders around the universe with the Guardians of the Galaxy. He thinks that it may be time to move on from his superhero days and take on a different path. What would you think his purpose in the coming days? Will he leave it and give the responsibility to somebody or stay in power? There is a big character development revealed at the end of this teaser trailer. Watch this.

Jane Foster wields the Mjolnir! We remember that it was destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok and the scientist makes herself worthy by wielding the power of the hammer and becomes the Mighty Thor herself..

Chris Hemsworth returns as the mighty Thor, getting back in shape, together with the Guardians: Chris Pratt (Starlord), Dave Bautista (Drax), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Natalie Portman (Jane Foster). Christian Bale joins the cast as Gorr the God Butcher.

Thor Love And Thunder is a special summer offering of Marvel Studios, directed by Taika Waititi. Coming to theaters, July 8, 2022.

DOCTOR STRANGE in the Multiverse of Madness reveals trailer and poster

Our hearts are happy this Valentine's Day as Marvel released the official trailer for the next highly-anticipated movie: Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. The official poster also released an hour after the trailer gives a few hints to eagle eyes for some Easter eggs.

The poster shows Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) breaking through a window of the Sanctuarium. Shards of glass from the broken window gives pieces of different characters of Doctor Strange, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), Wong (Benedict Wong), and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor). There are some shards that introduce new characters. One hint is for the symbol of Miss America that is played by Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez. The trailer also gives away more exciting eggs especially now that we've unleashed the Multiverse, thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The trailer even gave away much more surprises that were previously established in WandaVision and What If...? Like the evil Doctor Strange, Wanda's alteregos, zombies and Shuma-Gorath. The most exciting is at the last part where we're hinting Patrick Stewart's Professor X will be in the movie. I think the Sony franchises are slowly appearing in the MCU. Watch the official trailer here and watch out for more easter eggs.

Have you seen more stranger things? Save the date May 6, 2022 in theaters worldwide.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi based on the comics by Stan Lee, Jade Halley Bartlett and Steve Ditko.

Spider-Man: No Way Home - multi-excitement

After delaying for almost 2 weeks and avoiding detailed spoilers, I finally got to see Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters. It is worth the wait especially for Spider-Man fans of the Tom Holland starrer movie franchise.

The story picks up after the death of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and revealing that Peter Parker (Holland) is indeed Spider-Man to the public. In this chaotic bout, he asks Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to undo the incident unknowingly revealing a more intense merger of different universes they have never experienced before.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a beautiful mix of action and emotions that gives audiences more than what they deserve. We will also meet a more matured Peter Parker that it's hard for us to let go. There will definitely be a lot of surprises which we all asked for, and the whole Spider-man multiverse is well-acknowledged. Since the release of trailer, the movie resolved major issues and gave us good closure.

Filipinos get a special shoutout that adds a comic relief to the movie. Give love to MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jason Batalon) as their roles are not just for sidekicks and love interest. They have played a vital role in Peter Parker's life and it would be sad that they will part ways.

The premiere night was attended by Spider-Man fans and also celebrities like James Younghusband and Michael V. Everyone posed with Spider-Man cosplayers and Doctor Octopus before entering the theater.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a must-see in theaters so you can laugh or make an ugly cry and it's okay. The movie is set to play in theaters January 8 following strict health protocols for everyone's safety. Distributed by Columbia Pictures Philippines, an international releasing company of Sony Pictures.

Marvel unleashed the teaser trailer of the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which will be coming to theaters in May 6, 2022.

Dissecting the elements in the trailer, it opens a past scene from No Way Home which  Wong (Benedict Wong) warned Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) on casting the spell which should be helping Peter Parker to undo all the revelations as Spider-Man. It also looks back to Mordo's warning in the desecration of reality. He also team up with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in saving the world from the dangers of the multiverse. If you've been watching What If...? in the past months, you've been seeing many of the elements like Shuma Gorath in the trailer. Wong also gives a hand in the task, revealing that the main villain in the movie is the evil alter ego of Doctor Strange. Watch the trailer below.

VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE movie review

I wasn't able to watch Venom in 2018 so I had to see it before I got out to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage in theaters which opened last December 8 here in the Philippines. So I am glad that I did it to follow the events of the latter.

In Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) interviews Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) from confinement. And when things heated up, because we know Venom tends to get offended easily, he accidentally infects Cletus and becomes a host himself. Brock and Venom's relationship is breaking up, both wishing that they could live freely without one another but in the end tends to be they are depended to each other. The Lethal Protectors are about to fight a new symbiote, Carnage, that owns Kasady terrorizing the city.

Tom Hardy's screenplay is shorter but it gives you anticipation for the next movie. It gave lots of parallels with Spider-Man, from symbiote's weaknesses and saving their love interests, giving a nod to former Spider-Man movies from climax through the end of the movie. May I also add you really have to watch until the end. An exciting reveal will have you on the edge of your seats.

Andy Serkis' director had made it more interesting with his better understanding on the Jekyll & Hyde persona of Eddie Brock. His many credentials on puppetry on LOTR, The Hobbit, Planet of the Apes used more help in this movie masterpiece.

Catch Venom: Let There Be Carnage in theaters. From Sony Pictures and distributed by Columbia Pictures Philippines.

Woody Harrelson plays pure evil Carnage in VENOM sequel

After the epic breakup of Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), and the alien symbiote in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, part of the symbiote leaps into serial killer Cletus Kasady moments before his execution. Kasady becomes host for Carnage, an even-larger, even-deadlier, and much-more-malevolent spawn of the alien, ruthless and pure evil.

Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady

The dual role of Cletus Kasady and Carnage is played by Academy Award-nominated actor Woody Harrelson who director Andy Serkis says “is exceptional in everything he does.”

Kasady – a killer even before gaining Carnage’s powers – doesn’t feel Eddie’s need to try to restrain the symbiote. To stop Carnage, Eddie and Venom will have to find a way to make their relationship work.

“Cletus is twisted, devious, manipulative, and damaged as anything, but in Woody’s portrayal, you can’t help but love him,” says Serkis. “He could have been just quips and arch, but Woody sits him on a tightrope – a child in one moment, and a deep, dark killer in the next, a real vulnerability underneath it all.”

“He’s a psychotic killer,” says Harrelson. “He had a nasty upbringing, and now feels compelled to take revenge on the people he felt were responsible for the state he was in.”

Which means there’s a method of sorts to Cletus’ madness, a driving force that makes him so dangerous. “Even before he meets Eddie, Cletus has a sense that Eddie is going to be a friend – a lifeline, a guy who believes in him,” says Harrelson. Of course, the feeling is all in the mind of the deranged murderer – and when he finds Eddie might not be the friend he’s looking for, Eddie (and Venom) will be on a collision course with Cletus (and Carnage).

“Woody is one of the coolest people I have ever met,” says Tom Hardy. “As a human being and as an actor, he is just formidable. There is nothing that you can present him with that will shock him; he has an answer, a solution to everything and he has a story to tell. As an artist, he is just wonderful, with such a brilliant, talented playful creative mind, that it’s an absolute joy to work with him.”

Venom: Let There Be Carnage opens in PH theaters on December 8. Distributed by Columbia Pictures Philippines. Watch the latest trailer here:

Villains revealed in the official trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home

The official trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home is out! While we're on hype on its global release on December 17 and later on in the Philippines on January 8, 2022, let's discuss bit by bit the details of this highly anticipated multiverse introduction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Following the events of Far Away Home and Spider-Man is revealed to be Peter Parker by The Daily Bugle owner J. Jonah Jameson, he reached out to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for a spell that can undo it. However, it's not just the public that had forgotten he is Spider-Man but everyone who knows him.

This also unleashes a new danger as the "Multiverse" has been opened bringing back all Spider-Man's foes. Starting with Dr. Otto Octavius / Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and also The Green Goblin (Willem Defoe). All hell break loose when more of the other Spider-Man universe villains come back with Electro, The Lizard, and Sandman join the party. It's totally a huge task for our superhero to defeat them all and bring back order in this universe. Watch the trailer below.

Will Spider-Man be able to survive? What can you say about the last part that MJ falls similar to how Gwen died in The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

Spider-Man: No Way Home brings back Tom Holland as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Also starring Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau and more.

VENOM: Let There Be Carnage opens in theaters December 8

The relationship of Eddie Brock and the symbiote Venom nears to an end in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage that will be released in Philippine theaters on December 8.

Tom Hardy, playing both characters agrees that it's an unlikely relationship and Venom and Eddie learned to live with each other. Venom is up to munch heads off evildoers and Eddie's career is firmly on the upswing, getting the career-defining last interview with serial killer Cletus Kasady.

Director Andy Serkis describes the two in a marriage that have ups and downs, with one causing the problems but definitely they have a need for each other even without the harmonious relationship. He thinks Tom Hardy gives an extraordinary performance and working with Serkis reveals professional pride and admiration together.

Tom Hardy also contributed his writing creativity in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. His first writing gig for the feature film was "a fun and exciting experience and where anything felt possible for these characters that we have grown so fond of,” says Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplay.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage also casts Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage.
