"Barbie Girl" played in the latest trailer of Barbie

The newest trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures' Barbie has been dropped and we get to see Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) take on the real world out of curiosity. The exodus from Barbie Land is pure fun with Will Ferrel, America Ferrera and more.
However, the last few seconds of the clip streams a very familiar tune. Check out the trailer below.

Many might be well aware of the beef between British pop group Aqua and Mattel because of the former's song "Barbie Girl" which was categorized as obscene by the latter. It has been a long-time issue between the two but the song has earned a lot in the charts and album sales. Even repeatedly recorded and used in many occasions where the party is. Many would have expected it should be used in this movie (even just as a cover) and WB has heard the fans. We would just like that Mattel and Aqua would come into reconciliation and just move on while they both earn from the rights. ;)

Barbie the Movie opens July 21 in theaters, also starring Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Michael Cera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Dua Lipa, Helen Mirren and more. Directed by Greta Gerwig.

Margot Robbie is Barbie!

Warner Bros. Pictures gave a teaser of the newest live adaptation of one of the world's most-loved toys, Barbie, with Margot Robbie getting the title character. The movie also gets its release date on July 21, 2023 only in theaters.

In the photo, Margot Robbie gets in her hot pink car wearing the baby blue headband and summer outfit ready to go on an adventure. I say that she is perfectly cast in this movie following her amazing stint as Harley Quinn in DC universe movies. Let's see some more as WB releases more information in the upcoming days.

Barbie is a Mattel signature brand that was loved by generations since the 1940s. It also inspired a song by Aqua in the late 90s or early 2000s and the biggest name in the doll industry. Barbie also gets her love interest Ken and now diversified into different skin colors and doll accessories and houses.

Barbie is directed by Academy Award-nominee Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote the script with her partner Noah Baumbach
