The intelligent device can verbally interact with users and express emotions through movements made possible by its articulated leg joints. Moreover, the use of multi-modal AI technology, which combines voice and image recognition along with natural language processing, enables the smart home AI agent to understand context and intentions as well as actively communicate with users.

LG’s AI-powered Multi V i identifies adjacent indoor units and then defines virtual groups based on a correlation coefficient, a metric that represents an adjacency relationship between the indoor units. The Multi V i collects real-time data on room temperature and piping temperature of indoor units every 30 seconds and employs AI algorithms, including Q-Learning, to find a correlation formula that enables specific indoor units to ‘cooperate’ to maintain an even indoor temperature.

Should any temperature imbalances occur, the system automatically selects which indoor units to operate cooperatively. As the cooling or heating load decreases, the cooperating units are automatically turned off, while the Multi V i continues to run optimally. This AI-based operation mode helps to bring thermal comfort to every corner of the building.

Optimizing Indoor Comfort with Intelligent Outdoor Adaptation
The temperature and humidity outside can have a significant impact on indoor thermal comfort. To keep a space pleasantly comfortable while saving energy, it is essential that an HVAC solution be able to make intelligent real-time adjustments that take weather conditions into account.
