Vaccinate and sanitize with strong defense with Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol

To the one who's reading this, I hope you're already vaccinated now like me. But our defense against germs and viruses should not end there as there is still the majority of the population who are not vaccinated yet. It's our responsibility to protect them as well by observing minimum safety protocols like social distancing, washing hands, and putting on face masks.

Since we add protection to ourselves with vaccination, we also have to protect the frontliners who are facing many people and are always at risk during this pandemic. Fortunately, our friends from Defensil 70% Isopropyl Alcohol stepped up with a donation drive to vaccination sites in Muntinlupa, San Juan and Pasig. They provided 600 PPEs and 264 1-liter bottles of Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol to create a safer environment as people get their jabs.

“We are committed to supporting the government’s vaccination efforts to help more Filipinos to live safer. We hope that the PPEs and isopropyl alcohol we donated to the different vaccine sites can give fellow Filipinos a higher level of protection as they get vaccinated and will serve as a reminder of the importance of always disinfecting when they go out and start to go back to their regular activities,” said Nikko Cruz, Brand Manager of Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol.

Adding more protection with proper handwashing and keeping our surroundings clean, it is also safer to apply Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol at home and when you're going out for either work or shopping. You also need to disinfect surface areas because it is an additional defense against 99% of known germs and viruses and to prevent their spread.

You can use it as much as you can because it also has moisturizer to prevent your skin from drying out to continue with your regular activities.

For more information on how to live safe now, visit the Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol’s Facebook page at facebook.com/defensil.philippines.

Tips to remodel your home

Since we're all spending the pandemic time at home, we're all thinking of ways on how to refurbish our homes. Aside from having a vision of a beautiful space, we also want it to be functional to do important things like working from home, studying, crafts and more. Our Home has stylish selections for us to do our tasks with decorative, functional and comfortable desks. They also offer some tips when choosing the right desk according to your needs.

  • Choose a desk that’s right for your needs and that suits your space and style.
Consider your workflow and activities to make sure that you can use your desk comfortably and productively.

Also, consider your overall house design in choosing your desk. If your place is more traditional, the classic Hambu Writing Desk would be a perfect fit; while the white Havana Computer Desk will compliment contemporary spaces.

  • Size (and Shape) Does Matter. Making the mistake of buying a desk that’s either too big for your space or too small for the way you work will not be good for your productivity and comfort.

You’ll also discover that apart from size, your desk shape does matter in helping you getting organized. Rectangular desks, like Our Home’s Gavin’s Office Desk, are the most popular choice, and these are available in a variety of width and depth sizes. Corner desks for awkward spaces, and wave desks that provide you with the benefits of a rectangular desk while also giving you a larger desktop, are also great alternatives.

  • Consider Storage. Without any storage, your home desk can become cluttered and disorganized. Opting for a chest with drawers is an ideal way to keep your workspace organized and to make sure that all your essentials are at your fingertips. Better still, opt for a desk and storage combination.

  • Sitting Well. Sitting comfortably at your desk is necessary for making sure that you can be as productive as possible as you work. It will also ensure your back is continuously supported. Our Home has ergonomic chairs for a healthy WHF, as well as desk lamps to make sure your area is properly lighted.

Visit Our Home stores nationwide at select SM Supermalls for more Desk and Home Office ideas. Customers who prefer to shop online can expect the same great shopping experience through www.ourhome.ph. In addition, Our Home has introduced Contactless Shopping Options for customers who prefer to stay in their homes. Customers can Call & Deliver – call 0917 8315260, pay online, and have their items delivered. They can Shop Live where a personal shopper takes them on a virtual tour of the store via video call. Curbside Pickup is also available.

MOVIE REVIEW - Jungle Cruise

The Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt starrer, Jungle Cruise, hits the theaters recently. The joys of exciting scenes and surprises on-screen are what I missed the most.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt

Based on Disney Park's Jungle Cruise, this production elevates the experience of the attraction with water rapids, wild animals, enchanted forests, and even hidden jungle tribes -- so brace yourselves as you go aboard the Amazon adventure.

Dwayne Johnson plays Frank Wolff, who currently works as a tour guide to the Amazon rivers caught in the adventure of an archaeologist Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) and her brother MacGregor (Jack Whitehall). The search for an enchanted tree that is believed in legends had them cross with another hunter and the unknown mystics of the Amazon trail.

Jack Whitehall, Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson

It's like I'm watching a combination of Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean in the themes and adventure. You'll have lots of trees, snakes, piranhas and also mystical creatures that are coming from the dead. Expect the same good Dwayne Johnson injecting humor that you can buy and Emily Blunt and her British self that works on a good chemistry. Visuals are also great but the leopard Proxima is too obvious CGI. Above all, Jungle Cruise is still an enjoyable flick for the family.

Jungle Cruise also casts Paul Giamati, Edgar Ramirez, and more. Directed by Jaume Collet-Sera for Walt Disney Pictures.

REVIEW - Cooking with Paris

Since it was released yesterday, I dedicated my 2 hours watching Paris Hilton's reality series Cooking With Paris where she gives her own take on different dishes from breakfast to dinner. We all know that she's not a professional chef, as she admitted on her OBB, but what interests me is how she'll do it. You don't need to expect anything but you'll be impressed.

Paris gives her A Simple Life character -- the high fashion, glitzy, and her playful self. But here, she does almost everything -- from shopping for ingredients in her striking dress and huge bow while strutting in the aisles of the supermarket, preparing the food and cooking it. She's doing everything pretty much the first time so it's funny that she doesn't know what kitchen equipment and utensils that she has -- but studded ladles and spatulas get the attention!

As a great party host that she is, it's good to have her reliable Chief of Staff decorating her dining area for the awe of the guests. She wants a SLIVING event for her guests from Kim Kardashian to Nicky and Kathy Hilton and every meeting has a different theme!

She doesn't care about the kitchen mess. She focuses however on how her food will taste like and especially how people "Loves it." She reverts to her deeper natural voice if the conversations get a little bit more serious -- how her closest friends would really know her. She also revealed why she's doing it because she wants to become a mother next year and learning to cook is her baby step in raising a family. Kudos to her for that.

Cooking with Paris only has 6 episodes and runs for about 20mins per episode. Now streaming on Netflix.
