PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 movie review

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is off to his new quest and now to search for the fountain of youth in the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides which opens today at cinemas nationwide. brought to us by Walt Disney and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

a new treasure hunt is on from the valid reason for the existence of the fountain of youth. and now, Jack Sparrow is off to get his lion's share of the fountain. but he has to be with the crew of Queen Anne's Revenge which is led by the feared Captain Blackbeard (Ian McShane). his past lover, Angelica (Penelope Cruz), also joins them in the quest.

in search of the fountain, they will encounter deceiving mermaids and long, difficult jungle trails. at the end is the treasure that can bring eternal youth and power. as others have also made their own expeditions, it was a struggle of who comes first. not only a race but also a greed on religion. Spanish expedition who came to the cave of the fountain of youth had other beliefs. thus, they destroyed the sanctuary and the banished the fountain forever.

i think this movie lacks action sequence, weird sea creatures and amazing scenes and effects. but it can stand alone from the previous Pirates movies. mainly centered on Jack Sparrow as he was the lead character. costumes and make up are all good especially with Blackbeard. as drawn in Spongebob Squarepants, they really look very much alike. there is a slight unnecessary content on the movie. just as i thought that they will look back on the love story of Jack Sparrow and Angelica but it was something else.

check out Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides showing in all cinemas. brought to us by Walt Disney Pictures International.

END HUNGER: WALK THE WORLD 2011 for a cause

hunger is a major problem worldwide. all your faculties will not work well with an empty stomach. lucky for us who don't experience extreme hunger, we have at least a little muffin, and even go for a costly frapp or coffee and have a chitchat with friends. with money to spend, our problem is to choose what to eat, what to drink, where to eat. but what about those whom we don't know? we don't realize that there are a lot of people who think if they have something to eat or if they can survive another day. researches have shown that there are 1 out 6 children go to school hungry resulting to poor performance in school. and levels have been increasing that most kids do not graduate from school. worse, they die in the middle of hunger. fighting hunger is one of the millennium development goals of the United Nations which include the Philippines. and as one with the world, the special unit of UN fighting against hunger, World Food Program, has initiated a campaign to address MDG #1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. this initiative is called Walk the World which goes for 6 years already worldwide. a simultaneous walk and run against hunger from 5AM of May 29, 2011 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay City invites all running enthusiasts who advocate the eradication of hunger and to help people improve their lives by eating healthy. there are three categories in which a person/group can join: 3K - Open Category, Php 250, with event shirt, starts at 6AM 5K - Men/Women's Categories, Php 500, with race kit, singlet and baller ID, starts at 545AM 10K- Group Category, Php 10,000, with race kit, singlet, baller ID, button pins and team plaque, starts at 530AM see last year's video of Walk the World featuring World Food Program Ambassador KC Concepcion who joined hundreds of people in the walk.

Proceeds will go to the feeding program in Mindanao where KC had immersed and firsthand witnessed the situation. the concentration in Mindanao is not an easy task that's why we have to help the World Food Program deliver to the needs of the people in that area. You can also do your part even if you cannot attend the Walk on May 29th. You can learn more information about the World Food Program and Walk the World by visiting http://wfp.org/walktheworld and Walk The World Pilipinas websites. this campaign is strongly supported by the World Food Program with corporate partners, TNT, Unilever and Pizza Hut.

Samsung Series 9 will be mine!

I would love to have a Samsung Series 9 Notebook. If you would recall what i've enumerated in the past post, you will see the sexiest specs of technology yet. The Samsung Series 9 has the sexiest design and lightest from all the laptops that I know. And with the coolest gadgets in stores, it would be best that I could just acquire one. I am so thankful enough that there is an ongoing Samsung Series 9 contest in Facebook and this might be my chance to have th Samsung Series 9!

The steps to winning are quite simple. All you have to do is:
1. Register on Samsung Notebook Series 9: Sexy Street Style Facebook fanpage.
2. Upload a stylish photo in of yourself that defines what sexy for you is.
3. Write about your personal definition of sexy.
4. Ask your friends to vote for your sexy photo entry.
5. Make it your profile picture in Facebook
6. Sexiest photos get a chance to win either a Samsung Notebook Series 9 or a Rajo Laurel, Rhette Eala, or Randy Ortiz designer wear.

Of course, I've joined the contest! Below is my entry with a bunch of other Sexy PC hopefuls:

This photo was taken by my friend Johan Sy (STUDIyo) during our stay at Punta Fuego last weekend. I think this was the best photo to submit to the contest. And what I think is sexy? A dignified spirit, a good disposition in life added with a little humor. I think that's sensible and very sexy. What about you? Please LIKE my entry and I encourage you to join the contest.

And talk about sexy, you may want to watch another video about the launch last March 22 in Peninsula Hotel in Makati. The launch also featured sexy designer clothing collection from Rajo Laurel, Rhett Eala and Randy Ortiz. Celebrities and distinguished guests attended the sexy launch of Samsung Series 9 Notebook.

living for 100 DAYS

if you were asked, "what if you only have 100 days to live?" the generic answers would be: forgive everyone who sinned you, travel a lot, live healthy, pray for another 100 days, donate to charity and everything good that you would think. but those who have a lot think about it. but what if you come from this kind of home:

they have been suffering for not just 100 days of their life. it's a lifetime. they want everything to improve, to be easier, to be a breeze. just like what Ana Manalastas had experienced and had made her stronger through the years. strong enough that she doesn't care anymore of what others may feel. she had become terrible in the eyes of others.

when she died in an accident, she had been rejected from Heaven and brought back to earth for a chance to correct what she had done. and she would do also the same things i've mentioned above. now she have to deal with everyone... as a child. to fulfill her mission with only 100 Days to Heaven.

this values-filled comedy-drama will try to capture the emotions and teach a valuable lesson to each and every viewer. starring Ms. Coney Reyes as Ana Manalastas, the insensitive and practical boss, who falls down from Heaven and Xyriel Manabat, as the young Ana Manalastas who will do the mission and learn something from it.

on May 9, lives will be changed and values will be formed. watch 100 Days to Heaven after TV Patrol World in ABS-CBN Primetime. Kuha mo?
