Getting lost in a real adventure in The Lost City

The adventure is real, the heroes are not. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum are in an epic adventure that's gone too real in the movie, The Lost City, which will be in Philippine theaters this 2022.

In the trailer, Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever. Watch it here:

The cast is led by Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison, Bowen Yang.

The Lost City is distributed in the Philippines by Paramount Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle movie review

"Manners maketh man." This quote has strongly been associated with one of the most anticipated movies of 2017, Kingsman: The Golden Circle continues the life of Eggsy (Taron Egerton) as a secret agent of the Kingsman agency. And for all of us who are fans of the franchise, brace yourselves as The Golden Circle has a lot more than what we saw in the trailers. Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens in theaters, September 20 and is best seen on IMAX.

Matthew Vaugh has stitched The Golden Circle from a lot of elements in The Secret Service that we missed. Your eyes will be glued to the screen since the beginning with spontaneous and swell action scenes. From linking the villains and how Gallahan was raised from the dead.

Injected with relatively good dosage of humor with low-key discussions on some "very familiar" society issues, The Golden Circle is never boring to watch. Though it contains a little gruesome clips that are not for the weak stomach, it still maintained its balance with the sleek getup of the agents and hot gears and weaponry.

It also contains some heartbreaks of losing very significant characters but Elton John is one very important cameo that makes this movie beyond guns and skills. Putting my favorite though to Whiskey (Pedro Pascal) with the lasso skills.

JUPITER ASCENDING movie review

Jupiter Ascending is another of those sci-fi flicks that you can check out and join in the adventures in interstellar proportions. From the Wachowskis, Andy and Lana, bringing you high expectations in action and graphics starting February 5 in theaters nationwide, distributed by Warner Bros. Philippines.
It is about Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) discovering herself as a royalty of the universe but found herself cleaning toilets on earth. Unnatural occurrences happen as she was able to see alien lifeforms that are in pursuit of her abduction and death. This sends her to the protection of Caine (Channing Tatum) who eventually makes him her love partner and together they will rage war against those who will take advantage of Earth's resources. You'll also find out that the whole universe is governed by businessmen reaping and consuming other elements in the cosmos.
The movie could have been a better viewing experience when video quality is the same with The Hobbit if you're seeing it in IMAX 3D. But the visual elements are cool, especially the air crafts that divide their wings in obstacles. The whole visual experience looks like a mixture of other sci-fi movies but you will never recognize the Wachowski work compared with The Matrix. Story is never as profound as that of The Matrix that movie goers would be talking about.

Also trying to make the Channing Tatum-Mila Kunis romantic connection did not work out for me. And you'll just tumble on your seats when the two take the flirt while everything around them collapses. It was particularly unnecessary.

experience G.I. Joe Retaliation in 3D

in the sequel of the great action heroes of my childhood, G.I. Joe Retaliation will be best experienced in 3D format in our local cinemas.
on March 30 (Philippine time), the Joes will not only combat their mortal enemy Cobra but they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

already saw an amazing preview of the movie in their battle against their enemies in the high mountains. the 3D preview gives a very sharp appreciation of Storm Shadow's throwing stars, swords, etc. heights are also a big deal in this format and deep cliffs are well-defined.
GI Joe Retaliation cast is lead by Channing Tatum, and Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis joins them as Joe Colton. directed by Jon M. Chu and distributed in the Philippines by Solar UIP Philippines.
