Lou Bonnevie initiated the project 12 years ago and grateful that more and more artists join in this worthy cause. she also announced that the production team is now called EarthDay Jam Foundation and will continue to campaign for a greener and life-sustainable environment through their music and support other earth-friendly activities like coastal clean-ups and tree-planting. she also said that we have to continue the campaign as we are all live in one earth and we only have one chance to save it. the world has been experiencing nature's wrath so we have to prepare before the next Ondoy or Pablo which caused a lot of damages to communities. this year's EDJ theme is: "Earth Day everyday, everywhere for everyone." meanwhile, Mark Escueta of Rivermaya adds, "Walang Earth Day Jam kung walang Earth." a simple event from a one big cause.
