ANNIE movie review

Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx in this year's movie adaptation of Broadway musical and winner of several Tony Awards, Annie which opens in Philippine theaters, January 21, distributed by Columbia Pictures and directed by Will Gluck.
Annie (Quvenzhane Wellis), as interpreted as a black foster kid of the cruel Ms. Hannigan (Cameron Diaz), shows a tough girl of New York City. In the events that she look forward to meeting her long lost parents, it has been a hard knock life. And getting into an encounter with mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) that will make her life change, maybe forever.

The newest Annie gives us a hip-hop take about the Broadway musical and set in a contemporary time that takes out her red jumper dress. Her great singing talent with the graceful moves makes Annie more street smart.

Cameron Diaz doesn't deliver that much terror to Annie as Ms. Hannigan should have been. And why is she casted with that voice? They could have sent another actress to play the part. I can totally agree when you say "Little Girls" arrangement is awful. Jamie Foxx as Will Stacks presents a commoner despite his stature. Pleasing the

sneak peek: THE GREEN HORNET

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) and Kato (Jay Chou) break the law – in order to protect it – in Columbia Pictures' new 3D action-adventure “The Green Hornet.”

Directed by Michel Gondry (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”), the film also stars Cameron Diaz (“Charlie’s Angels”), Tom Wilkinson (“Valkyrie”), and recent Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds”).

In the film, Britt Reid is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire.

Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato, they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves. Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets.

Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower.

Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

KNIGHT AND DAY movie review

bumping into a stranger and then finding yourself in a near-death adventure is June's (Cameron Diaz) most memorable one. rushing to go to her sister's wedding accidentally have been a bumpy ride with Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) who appears to be an ex-FBI agent. since Roy Miller has brought June into great danger, he pulls her and protected her against all that chases them.

actually a really good movie. a combination of Die Hard stunts with the comic Cameron Diaz as Tom Cruise completes the package. you'll also get to travel into different countries but it won't give you that awe of the place they're in. also, the story doesn't give much focus why an element is so important in the story. to summarize, what's all important is that their enemies are killed.

KNIGHT AND DAY gets into Philippine theaters on June 24 2010 distributed by Columbia Pictures International.
