Hikers warned! Don't dare to enter THE FOREST

A real-life forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Japan was believed to be home of evil spirits and lures in tourists who never return. The Aokigahara forest was also dubbed as Suicide Forest and is an inspiration to film director, Jason Sada, for his next film, The Forest. Set to open in theaters this February 2016.
Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones/The Hunger Games) braves the said forest as Sara -- an American woman who tries to find her sister who mysteriously disappeared inside the forest. In the company of expatriate Aiden (Taylor Kinney of “Chicago Fire”), Sara enters the forest having been well warned to “stay on the path.” Determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, Sara will have to face the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who dares come near them. These malevolent spirits lying in wait for Sara at every turn will plunge her into a frightening darkness from which she must fight to save herself. Watch the trailer here:

RUROUNI KENSHIN The Legend Ends Movie Review

An epic finale in the Rurouni Kenshin Series, The Legend Ends gives everyone a glorious ending for the samurai legend. A sharp and fast execution gave justice and great excitement from Kyoto Inferno.
After the loss of Kenshin in part 2, he finds himself at the custody of his mentor, Seijuro, whom he asked to teach him a new technique. His former master willingly taught him but the lesson was determined by Kenshin's own way. A lesson that he learned that will enable him to beat his arch enemy, Shishio. Across his journey are different dangers and revenge of people whom he cared for and even the government has turned against him, making him a fugitive at the deals with Makoto Shishio. He will be eventually live victorious at the loss of Shishio due to his weird anatomy condition after a sharp and breath-taking fight.
It will be a delight for you to focus your attention throughout the movie. And there are happier things around that like when Kaoru and Kenshin takes a glance of each other, how they get excited at every time their names were mentioned by their friends. I like how Kenshin reacts to it despite his fierce and strong character. Sanosuke is of course a laugh act in the movie, no matter how bloody he gets in every fight, he still continues to punch and kick.

At his villains, the young Sojiro finally gets tired fighting! At last this curious but annoying character has been beaten to death. I'm annoyed at this character but I enjoyed his fight with Kenshin. Aside from Shishio, he gets enough attention to the movie.

One thing I've noticed is that when Kenshin has been stricken with a sword, he still survived up to the beach towards the end. It didn't came realistic at the absence of first aid, etc. So I'm just believing that he survived at Kaoru's presence (mushy!).

Congratulations to Warner Bros. Pictures (Japan) for the epic movie and Warner Bros. Pictures (Philippines) for bringing it in the country. It is one extraordinary experience.

THE WOLVERINE movie review

it was a great privilege to see the latest mutant movie The Wolverine before it hits the theaters. this newest flick shows us Logan's (Hugh Jackman) vulnerability, physical and emotional and how he rises stronger than ever before.
living at 3 generations in Japan, Logan is summoned by the person he saved during the war. upon death of who he trusted as a friend, he discovers plans that will drive him to his mortality which he wanted more. this to catch up to his ever-love Jean Grey who troubles him every time he sleeps. evenmore, to protect great inheritance passed on to younger generation. confronting forces that prevent him from saving the sole heir to the riches, he discovers he is lured in to a trap that will make him choose to live as a mortal.
the action filled movie deliberately showed us the Wolverine's power, strength and vulnerability in one screen. following big fight sequences, especially the bullet train scene, providing more entertainment is the humor factor that goes after. the stranger Logan has to learn many about the culture of the place he's in. making him more human like we never knew.

villains Viper, the Silver Samurai were really neat however i didn't feel much about Viper. villains use each other for one's benefit. it would be mistaken he will be Poison Ivy or somebody else until she sticks her tongue out.
Viper (Svetlana Khodchenkova)
in general, i liked The Wolverine and surely i recommend that everyone watch it. may it in 3D or 2D, the story is really amazing and fight scenes give really much attention to our hero. it was not even tiring to see and you'll be waiting so much more. (a sequel maybe?)

just a piece of advise, don't go yet when the movie is done. you have to stay a little during the credits for something to watch out for.

opening July 25 worldwide, directed by James Marigold for 20th Century Fox, distributed in the Philippines by 20th Century Fox Philippines.
