Now Showing: Ang Paglalantad - A Play Revealing the Realities of Filmmaking

Written by Vincent Ricafrente, the production offers a closer look at the conflicts and compromises behind creating a film

Teatré Phileo
proudly presents its upcoming production, Now Showing: Ang Paglalantad, written by Vincent Ricafrente. The play will run from December 4 to 5, 2025, with shows at 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM at Asia Pacific College, Multi-Purpose Hall 1. This production offers a closer look at the realities behind filmmaking and highlights the importance of these behind-the-scenes stories.

The play takes place in a pre-production meeting where directors, writers, producers, and crew members attempt to bring their ideas together while dealing with real-world limitations. What starts as a routine discussion soon develops into a serious debate about creative directions, budget constraints, deadlines, and personal ambitions. Audiences can expect a clear, relatable, and engaging look at the realities behind the filmmaking process.

Now Showing: Ang Paglalantad depicts the balance of artistic and commercial needs, the stress that comes with production work, and the constant compromises involved in making the film. This play also celebrates the passion, creativity, and dedication of those who work to bring films to life. It invites audiences to appreciate the effort, teamwork, and artistry that shape every stage of cinematic storytelling.
