PRSP Students' Conference goes virtual this November!

The first virtual PR Students' Conference happens this November 20 and public relations, marketing, advertising and communications students are gladly invited to participate. The event aims to help everyone to learn to decode the information we consuming and prepare them in the journey to PR for Good through an informative virtual adventure to the different stages of the content journey.

This year, it will be interactive, and nationwide edition of the Students’ PR Congress, the organization’s annual event for students to learn more about the public relations industry from leading practitioners in the field. With the theme “Decoding Content: The Journey to PR for Good”, this year’s Students’ PR Con aims to help participants navigate the new media landscape and tackle the three different stages of the content journey, which are:
  • Capture and Consume - aims to address how we contextualize the content that we come across in everyday life to mindfully capture and consume information from different media platforms.
  • Curate and Converse - discuss curating content from reliable sources and starting conscientious and fruitful conversations about topics that matter as a way to fight misinformation and become responsible communicators.
  • Create and Care - collates all the learnings gained from the previous segments by talking about why creating our own PR for good can show that we care, not only to communicate our messages for self-serving purposes, but to push forward ideas, advocacies and causes that benefit society.
Top PR practitioners in the country are expected to share their expertise as speakers for the online event. For the Capture and Consume segment, Lynda Jumilla-Abalos of ABS-CBN News Digital will tackle “The News and Information Media” while Peach Natividad of Google, Neil Trinidad of Lazada, and Toff Rada of Tiktok will talk about “Social Media and the Emerging Platforms”.

The Curate and Converse segment will include Yvonne Chua of Vera Files and Luz Rimban of Asian Center for Journalism to discuss “Dissecting Fake News, Trolling, Propaganda and Demolition”, and Dr. Randy Dellosa of Pinoy Big Brother and Carlo Ople of PLDT and Unbox for “Being Digitally Ready and Responsible”. Finally, joining the Create and Care segment will be Caroline Veronilla of World Vision, Anna Meloto-Wilk of Human Nature and Cat Trivino of MindNation for the “Forwarding Your Advocacy and Giving Voice for Social Good” discussion.

Norman Agatep, President of PRSP and President and Managing Director of Grupo Agatep shared, “Students of Communication have always been a significant sector that the PRSP has been reaching out to over the years. As such, we have designed pillar programs that aim to supplement their classroom learning, fuel their interest in public relations, and ignite their desire to pursue careers in our industry. This year's PR Con will give all participants an exclusive glimpse of what their lives as PR professionals could be like.”

Students’ PR Con 2021 is also set to kick-off the upcoming Students’ Grand Prix in January 2022. The upcoming Students’ Grand Prix will be PRSP’s first hack sprint edition of the annual student event and competition. More details will be announced during its launch in the upcoming PR Con.

Everyone, PR practitioners and students are encouraged to take part in the timely issues and conversations in the event. They can register by going to www.prspstudentsprcon.com/register to secure their slots. COKE spreads happiness and love with ALDUB

Launched just today after the KalyeSerye in Eat Bulaga, Lola Nidora played by Wally Bayola interrupted the freeze moment and made way to grant Alden's wish which was asked by Alden in previous episodes. No one ever knew or even just a hint that this is about the new advertisement with the phenomenal love team, ALDUB.
Before I let you watch the ad, here are some cute moments. Get your oxygen tanks ready, ALDUBNation.

We are screaming CLOSER!
Lola Nidora as a kill joy, as usual. But congrats Wally for getting involved here.

ALDUB for a mobile network

Just hours after the second meet up of ALDUB, Alden Richards and Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza, they teased us again for another endorsement, now for a mobile brand.
The two included in their Instagram and Twitter posts the hashtag #ALDUBforTNT which gives way for them endorsing Talk N Text network.

Tetext ko na ba siya? Papansinin niya kaya ako? #AlDubForTNT

So when is this new ad going to air? Sa tamang panahon.

The September 12 episode with hashtag #ALDUBTheAbduction also broke the 5M record of #ALDUBBattleForACause in September 5, which garnered more than 6M Tweets and landed #1 trending topic worldwide. We already know that Duhrizz, played by Wally Bayola, was the mastermind of the abductions of Alden and Yaya Dub.

AMBIENT DIGITAL launched in the Philippines

a group of dynamic and young individuals merge together combining their expertise in advertising, digital marketing and media buying forming the new company, Space Digital Media, Inc. and they offer one of their services which is an ad network called Ambient Digital.

Ambient Digital is a new way to earn via online platform that can help online advertisers improve their business and the publisher as well. it is the leading digital ad network in Vietnam and now we're lucky to have it in the Philippines.

the professional team of Space Digital Media, Inc. would be very welcome to assist you with concerns on digital advertising. the relevant media will be chosen very strategically to get what the client deserves.

the technology is that they use a widget embeddable in your layouts. once a campaign is launched, the widget can be minimized or play repeatedly. you can view the demonstration in this link.

being signed up in the publisher program, i have already experienced how an ad works in my 2 sites:
so if you're an advertiser who wants to maximize your media exposure, you can contact Space Digital Media at Tel :` +632-8468824. in Vietnam, there's a recorded increase in publishers and advertisers revenue when they went for Ambient Digital.

Jollibee on Glee

i have not seen the latest episodes of Glee since it's run last month. it was surprising that the leading food chain in the country, Jollibee, gets a cameo appearance on the said show.

photo has been shared by blogsite http://inothernews.tumblr.com/ and has been circulatiing in the social networking sites since its appearance.

this is a big marketing strategy for Jollibee versus known competitor in the US, McDonalds. see video below from Yahoo.

Commercials vs TV shows

i say, Richard and Lucy Gomez's LUX Commercial to be the most kilig ad of all time. as far as we all know that their love story started here, the soundtrack also gives me that tingling feeling of being in-love. (kanino kaya?)

thanks to this user for the video.

the song is Side A's Until Then na may line na: "I want to touch and stroke your long, black hair..." tamang-tama sa commercial at nadala naman ni Lucy. when will i stroke a long black hair kaya?
